Max and Ally slept in the next day. School didn't necessarily matter to the both of them and they were insanely tired from the previous night.

Ally awoke after hearing numerous dings from her phone, about ten in a row to be exact. Max, was still passed out. His arm dangling over the side of the bed and his hair messy. Ally grabbed her phone and another ding sounded from the object. She silenced her phone in fear that the notification sound would wake Max up. She unlocked her phone and clicked her messages. Multiple texts from Honey, River, and Ally's group chat.

Honey: GOSSIP GIRL POSTED YOU. GET THE HELL UP AND GET ON INSTA

River: She posted me?

Honey: No dipshit she posted Ally

River: Oh good

Honey: GOOD?!?!

River: NO NOT GOOD BUT GOOD SHE DIDNT POST ME. FUCK.

Honey: There's no saving that

Ally laughed at the messages but was quickly overwhelmed with fear and clicked Instagram. Sitting at the top of her screen was a post from gossip girl. It was Ally and Max walking together and that caption said something about Ally rising in status at Constance and being obsessed with Max or something. It was annoying but the post didn't concern Ally.

Ally opened the group chat again and responded to Honey and River's messages

Ally: God she's so obsessed with me.

Honey: We need to find a way to get gossip girl on our side

River: Give her drama

Ally: Let's meet later. My house?

River: send the time

Honey: perfect

Ally closed her messages and checked the time. It was 9 AM. The smell of some sort of food invaded Ally's senses. Someone must have been making brunch of some sort. Ally decided to wake Max. Her parents were most likely at work so they wouldn't be there to question why a guy was leaving her bedroom. If Ally's aunt was awake she'd probably just raise her eyebrows and not question it.

Ally was slightly nervous to wake Max. She hoped he had forgotten what they did last night but she knew that was most likely not the case. She didn't really want to discuss it. It was just so unexpected that she felt it could either destroy this frenemy thing they had going on. She also didn't even know if she was ready for a relationship, and Max didn't seem like the type to pursue relationships. Unless it's his teacher of course.

Max groaned as Ally shook him awake, then he fell back asleep. Ally decided to go to intense measures to wake Max up. She grabbed her pillow and slammed it down on Max's head with a laugh. He jolted upwards in surprise as Ally fell backwards towards the edge of her bed, laughing. Max rubbed his head but seemed to get over it quickly once he smelled the food downstairs. "God I'm hungry, and hungover." He groaned. "Let's go downstairs someone's cooking." Max's brows furrowed. "But your parents?" Ally shook her head "They're at work. It's probably my aunt cooking. Me don't really have live in maids." Ally replied.

Ally got dressed in a pair of sweatpants and remained in the T-shirt she had worn to bed. Max borrowed a pair of gym shorts River had left at Ally's home and a sweatshirt that River had also left. There was a point when River wasn't on good terms with his parents and was couch surfing for at least a month; He had stayed with Ally for about two weeks and ended up leaving behind some clothes just in case his parents kicked him out again.

Ally turned around and saw Max in River's clothes reminding her of a memory she had thought she had forgotten.

August, 2018

"You're still here?" Robbie exclaimed. "Fortunately" River smiled. Robbie opened the pantry door "AND YOU'VE BEEN EATING ALL MY OREOS!" Robbie shouted. River howled with laughter. Ally laughed at her brothers frustration over Oreos. "Now I have to go to the shop downstairs and buy more." Robbie sighed. Robbie closed the pantry door and walked back to his room. Ally got up from the stool she was sitting at and followed Robbie leaving River behind in the kitchen.

Ally tapped Robbie's shoulder with urgency once they were far enough away from River. Robbie turned around with a sigh "Hey I'm sorry River ate your Oreos. I'll talk to him about it." Robbie nodded "There's no need. Honestly he can eat whatever he wants. I kinda feel bad for him ya know. He's got nowhere else to go and his dad is an asshole. I'm not upset." Robbie turned around after finishing his sentence and started walking towards his bedroom. Ally followed Robbie into his room. Robbie unplugged his phone and shoved it into his back pocket, he grabbed his brown leather wallet that Henry Crimson had given him just a couple months prior and shoved it into another one of his presumably empty pockets.

"Are you going somewhere?" Ally asked him. "I am." Ally scoffed "You're not hanging out with Carson are you?" Robbie looked up at his sister, he stood up from his bed and opened his mouth to reply "I knew it. Why are you hanging out with that asshole? He's just using you. It's obvious but you're to dumb to see it!" Ally shouted; not even worried about the fact that River most likely heard her. "You have no room to talk. You're best friends with Honey Gilbert." Robbie scoffed. "Just because she rejected you doesn't mean you need to be rude!" Robbie shook his head. "You don't need to worry about me Ally. Carson may be an asshole but he's also loyal. He's not gonna do anything to me." He said, with a serious tone, and a hint of uncertainty in his voice.

"I just don't want you to get hurt." Ally frowned. "Don't worry about me. Just go watch a movie with River." Robbie patted his sisters shoulder. Ally nodded and turned towards the door "And please dine finish my Goldfish." Robbie laughed. Ally chuckled in response and left Robbie's room.

A couple minutes later he left his room too and soon the house altogether. Leaving Ally with crippling anxiety and River with a huge box of goldfish.

Present day

"Ally!" Max shouted. Ally shook her head and looked at Max with surprise "You've been staring at me for like 3 minutes. Do I look that beautiful that you just can't keep your eyes off me." Max smirked. Ally playfully shoved Max and opened her bedroom door walking down the hallway and down the stairs, Max followed her like a dog which he would be embarrassed about if anyone else was there, but it was just him and Ally some random person in the kitchen.

Ally and Max entered the kitchen and Ally was met with the welcoming presence of her aunt Claire. "Aunt Claire!" Ally shouted. Claire turned around with an enormous grin on her face. "Al!" Claire and Ally embraced with smiles on their faces. "Wow you've grown up since I've last seen you." Ally laughed at her aunts statement. "Oh Aunt Claire this is Max Wolfe. He's my- my- buddy." Ally cringed. Max snorted at Ally's awkwardness. "Oh it's nice to meet you Max." Claire shook Max's hand and then walked back to stove. "What are you making?" Ally asked. "I'm making gravy for my it roast." Ally's eyebrows furrowed. "But it's only 9 in the morning. Claire almost looked surprised. "Well I guess I'm just not used to the time difference." Claire shrugged. Ally smirked and sat down at the table. She was quite hungry. She hadn't eaten much the night before and Max felt the same way. He was hungry and hungover and pot roast sounded pretty good. It had been awhile since he had a meal like pit roast (his dads Keri diet had been going in for quite some time)

After about twenty minutes of light conversation between the three of them Clair finally announced that the pot roast was ready. "Who wants pot roast?" Claire exclaimed "I do" said a random voice. River entered the dining room with a huge smile and Clair screeched out of surprise almost dropping the pot roast. Ally nearly jumped out of her seat and Max jolted (slightly)

"Sorry the front door was unlocked." River didn't seem to take notice of Max Wolfe sitting at the dining table. Honey strolled I'm not doin after Rivers entrance and the first thing she said was "What the hell is he doing here?!"
