"So the background of the murder was cleared. But who is the true killer out of our two suspects?"
The judge knocked his hammer.

"Well, Trite.
If you are the real deal...
Then finish it all."
Diego smirked, happy to press Phoenix into a corner one last time.

I got next to him in the prosecution stand.
Honestly, after listening to Diego's reasoning, I'm quite interested in what Mia taught him, too.

I know Diego won't let himself go free. But... frankly... I hope that Phoenix will fail and Diego would go free and we'll be together...
But the man I love already decided on a fate, and he's not going to miss the consequences of his actions.

"N-No... I can't do it...
Mia told me everything while I was recovering- I just can't testify against the man who put his life on the line to protect Mia... and me!"
Maya hesitated.

"Maya, I know that... But this doesn't excuse him from his crimes!"
Phoenix tried to convince her.

Maya was stressed, and didn't know what to do. She didn't want to testify, even though she understood what Phoenix said.
She looked at Godot, but he didn't react.
She looked at me.
Her eyes were begging for advice.
I just nodded at her.
Maya took a deep breath.
"A-Alright... I'll tell the truth..."

The last testimony...
"Just before I lost consciousness, I saw three red lights. Just as I was about to call for help, i was splattered with blood!
She wasn't dead, though. She attacked the person from behind.
Suddenly, everything went dark, and I heard a terrible scream!"
Maya recollected.

D-Diego... was... attacked?
I tensed up.
I felt his hand holding mine.
This sad smile... please stop with the sad smile...

"Who was it that stabbed Misty Fey?
It looks like you still can't prove it."
Diego put his hands on the table.

That's right...
Maya testified before that she doesn't really remember the lights, and now, with them disappearing immediately after seeing them...

"HOLD IT!
That scream you heard...
Was it Deliah Hawthorn's?"

"I-I don't think so...
I think it came from the man..."
Maya sighed.

"So the killer screamed?"
The judge was confused.

Please don't tell me he is hurt...
please don't tell me he is hurt...

"Maybe Daliah Hawthorn took the blade and attacked the killer with it, and then maybe the killer took it back and attacked her again..."
Maya guessed.

"There's a huge contradiction in your testimony!
You said you were already splattered with blood- She could attacked with the same weapon that was stuck in her body!
Which leads us to this bloody dagger. The dagger the killer brought to the scene of the crime."
Phoenix presented.

I almost forgot about it...

W-Wait...
Now everything's coming together...
Diego didn't let me look at his mask today, which means...
