Marlene and Sirius had been doing what they said they would trying to figure things out
The pair walked back to the common room side by side
"I got eyes on Blackinnon" James "whispered"

"We're literally behind you idiot" Dorcas said
"Wait so what's the plan again??" Remus asked
James and Dorcas exchanged a glance
"YOU DON'T HAVE A PLAN??!!"
"Shush!!!!"
"I got it follow me!!"
"This is not going to end well"
"You know what!! We'll find a better way to do this!!" Alice said hands on her waist
"Well then Fortescue good luck!!" James said saluting the girls
Dorcas , Mary and Alice shared a look before disappearing up the stairs to the Gryffindor corridor
"Well now step one!" Peter said pulling out the map from James robes

Peter stood behind the pillar James crouched by his legs and Remus peering over his shoulder
"Okay I see Marlene- well her head" Peter whispered
"Are you sure that's Marlene??" Remus asked trying to peer over Peter's shoulder
"No there just happens to be another blonde who looks exactly like Marlene!" Peter said making Remus give him him questioning look
"Of course it's her!! How many other Marlene McKinnon's do you know!!??"
''Mate you can barely see the back of her head......all you can see is a flash of blonde" Remus said stretching his head out looking in the direction Peter was
"Gentlemen! Let me!!" James said getting up sending Remus stumbling backwards

"Just because you see blonde does not mean it's Marlene!!"Remus said
"I know but that's her"
Remus let out an exasperated sigh, before yanking on his hair
"HOW DO YOU KNOW IT'S HER?!?!"
"Okay one......put the hand gesture down......two I've known Marlene since forever.....I've known her my entire life I think I'd know what the back of her head looks like!!"
The three marauders peered over the edge again looking over each other's shoulder
"What are we doing??"
"Trying to spy on Blackinnon"
"Yeah? How's that working out??"
"Good actually......we found Marlene but we can't see Sirius anywhere"
''Oh yeah? Turn around"
"AHH! Sirius! Padfoot! Mate how ya doing??" Remus said looking like he had been caught with his hand in the cookie jar
Remus cleared his throat when he felt a nudge behind him
"And by us I mean me and my werewolf self....ya know coz I'm a werewolf and that counts as two s-
"Moony! Stop! I can see James' hair over your shoulder and Pete mate your gonna have to do better than hide behind Remus' legs"
James sheepishly smiled and peeped over Remus' shoulder, while Peter scratched the back of his head with a guilty look
