King's cross was a buzz , people moving back and forth pushing through the crowd , trying not to miss their trains
And amidst the chaos witches and wizards discreetly trying to cross the barrier to pick up their children
The Hogwards express came to a stop with a loud screech
"Well lads.....see you in the new year" James said
"New year" Sirius scoffed
"I don't get it it's the same shit except we add a 6 at the end instead of 5......fuckin moronic"
''Well.....I best get going I have to catch the bus" Remus said grabbing his trunk
"Yeah I have to go my mum's not looking to good" Peter said following Remus out
"Don't forget to write!!"
"Happy holidays"
James and Sirius walked down the corridors at their own pace chatting idly
Till they reached the door and were on the platform
"You take care....." James said looking at Sirius
"I'll be fine prongs" Sirius said in reassurance
"I know....just if you need anything at all you know where to come" James said placing his hand on Sirius shoulder
"Don't hesitate Pads anytime"
Sirius nodded and James pulled him into a hug
"Me too!!"
The boys chuckled as Euphemia Potter embraced them
"Oh Sirius! Here.....I made a batch and had some extras" Euphemia said holding out a container with brownies in them
"Thanks Mia"
"Don't mention it love......let's see I got James , Mason's there.......Marlene-
"FUCKKKK!!! I SWEAR!! SIX BROTHERS AND I HAVE TO HAUL TWO BLOODY TRUNKS!! WHAT DO YOU HAVE IN HERE MARV??"
The trio chuckled as Marlene approached them dragging two trunks while Marvin walked beside her Crookshanks in his hands
"Well I best be off.....thanks again mia" Sirius said
"Oh have a good holiday" Euphemia said kissing his cheek
"Yeah.....happy holidays mate" James said while helping Marlene
Sirius waved at Marvin before turning around
"Sirius!"
Sirius turned around
"Have a good Christmas" Marlene said with a smile
"You too Marlene" he said with a smile his gaze lingering for a second longer before weaving through the crowd
Walburga stood by the barrier waiting for her two sons , lost in thought, thoughts that had been on her mind for awhile
"Mum"
Someone had grabbed her arm and lightly shook her
"What"
"I asked if you okay?? I called you five times" Walburga looked up to see Sirius looking down at her
"Oh I'm fine just thinking is all......what's this??"
"Oh Euphemia made brownies" Sirius said holding the container
"Remember to return the box" she said and took it from him putting it in her charmed bag
"Where's your brother??"
"He was talking to Evan last I saw" Sirius said scanning the crowd looking for Regulus
"Sorry sorry!! I'm late I was in conversation with Evan" Regulus said pulling his trunk as he ran to the pair
"Hello mother"
"Yes yes!! C'mon boys......Kreacter!"
The house elf appeared vanishing with their bags
"Okay now we've got a tight schedule.....let's go"
The brothers shared a look before each grabbing a hold of one of their mother's arms
Diagon ally was a buzz and amidst it were the Black's .
"Okay Regulus your father will meet you at Mister Ruben's shoe store......hurry up now" Regulus nodded before walking in the other direction his brother looking after him
Why couldn't Sirius go to their father they would atleast have some form of normalcy
"C'mon!!" Walburga grabbed onto his arm pulling him along
Sirius was tired and didn't appreciate being dragged around but he also knew how to act when he had people from high society around
"We're are we off to??" He asked grabbing his mother's hand and linking her arm with his properly
"To get you new robes!! Your taller......and your on the Quittich team I heard so a new jersey then and also a suit for the wedding" Walburga said as they strolled through the street
Sirius looked down at his mother as she listed things off she was happy......genuinely happy , she always brought them to Diagon ally once of the express
And Orion would apparated and meet them, Sirius and him would go off while Walburga and Regulus usually got new books and did the Christmas shopping
The family would meet at Lewis Park's restaurant for a meal and head home
But today Walburga was happy.......happy she had her arm linked with Sirius' and neither of them pulled away from the other
"Why are so giddy??" Sirius asked
"Would you prefer I not be??"
"No no it's......I haven't seen you this is all"
"Now for Narcissa's wedding she said it's silver and pink but everyone will be in black and green and what not........so black robes, maybe a dark red or maron waistcoat and let's go with a pink tie maybe...
"Mother do you plan on making me look like a clown??" Sirius asked raising an eyebrow as he opened the store door
"Okay then what do you say?"
"No robes I have to wear them all day everyday.......grey let's go with a grey suit and a pink tie so it matches the theme too....."
Walburga thought about it as the tailor approached them
"Very well" she said and turned over looking at the various materials
"Who knew you knew about any colour outside black" Walburga said walking past him to the dresses
"It's not me" he mumbled
Sirius thought back to what he was told once
"No see light colour with bright colour.....and dark colour with a light one...."
"What does that even mean??"
"It means......maybe sometime you should try wearing a white t-shirt with your black.....it'll look good or maybe....."
Marlene grabbed a ribbon and and held it against Sirius' grey cardigan
"I'm not wearing pink"
Walburga and Millicent were in discussion while thr latter took down measurements
"He looks just like you" Millicent said
Walburga frowned and looked at her
"Except his eyes their more like Orion's but their still like yours somewhere in their grey"
Walburga just smiled and looked over at Sirius in thought......maybe in another life things would be different
