Chapter 20 "CPR lesson"

Swift's POV:

Today, We are doing a special training which Me and The other Cadets have No idea what it could be.

"Okay Cadets, Today, You Four will be wearing Your CPR badge" Said Speedy

"CPR?" Asked Rod

"CPR means: cardiopulmonary resuscitation" I Said

"Exactly, For Example: If You see Someone who isn't breathing and on The floor or ground than You have to perform CPR on Them" Said Speedy

"So, How do We do that?" Asked Brody

"That's why We are gonna start practicing with it" Said Speedy.

I saw that Speedy was holding a fake Dummy in His arms, He put The Dummy down to the ground in front of Us and We looked at Him.

"What are We suppose to do with This Dummy?" Asked Rod

"You are gonna try to preform CPR on Him" Said Speedy

"But...He isn't real" Said Brody

"I know, The reason Why We are doing it to a Dummy because We can't do it to another Person, because it might be dangerous, So That's Why We can do it on The Dummy" Said Speedy

"But...How do We do CPR?" Asked Rod.

"First You need to know The steps" Said Speedy

"Step 1: You have to call Someone who can help, You need to ask The Person who isn't breathing, "Is Ok" " Said Speedy

"Step 2: Make Sure that The Person is laying flat down on His/Her's back and Than You have to open The Airways which It's The mouth" Said Speedy

"Step 3: You have to listen carefully to hear breathing, If Not than You have to start CPR" Said Speedy

"Step 4: Start pumping The chest 30 Times, If You want, You can count 30 times to Yourself if It makes it easier for You stay focus" Said Speedy

"Step 5: After Pumping The chest 30 times, If You still see no breathing than You have to Rescue breathes" Said Speedy

"Which is?" Asked Rod

"You have to put Your mouth on The other's mouth and Breathe out 2 times in Their mouth and-" Said Speedy

"EWW!" We Said and-

"Guys, That's How- Ugh, Bea! Are You sure that They are ready for about CPR at This age?" Asked Speedy and-

"Yes! They have to learn it now and They are The right age for it, And It was You're idea!" Said Bea from Another Room.

Speedy sigh and He looked at Us.

"Let's continue" Said Speedy and We nodded Our heads.

"Step 6: Keep repeating doing it until Someone who can help, Arrives" Said Speedy.

"So That's all of The Steps, So, You're ready?" Asked Speedy

"Yeah!" I Said

"All ready!" Said Rod

"Primo!" Said Brody

"Alright Swift, You're Up First" Said Speedy and I nodded My head.

Me, Brody and Penny passed Our CPR lesson but Rod was having a little trouble.

Speedy was trying to help Rod because Rod was losing counting a little of counting to 30 of pumping The Dummy's chest.

I can see it in Rod's eyes that He was getting a little stressed out and-
