The eight-year-old looked into the eyes of her mother in disbelief.
"What?" She whispered with tears in her intelligent eyes. "Yes, my child" her mother replied, "you are not your father's daughter." Reminiscing tears flowed down the mother's gaunt and pale cheeks as she recounted the meeting with her forbidden lust. "I met him at the tavern. Far away from our village." She said stone grey-blue eyes lost in memory. "My husband and I got into a fight after your sister Feyre were born. And he looked soo sinfully enchanting... after a couple of shots; the rest was history." The curly-haired child did not fully understand what her mother meant, but she knew this... her father was not her father. "You looks soo much like him my dear" she choked up with emotion which she never showed in front of her children.

The little girl looked up from the floor eyes glazed with pain "goodbye mama" she said as she walked out of the room; just as both the light and breath from her mother disappeared into the cold night. Mrs Acheron was dead.
