Ch. 11: giyushino or shinogiyu?

Y/n's POV:

~Next day~

"Wow. Didn't know you could actually be anything but annoying, Shinobu..." I note.

Shinobu whips her head towards me, a shocked expression on her face. I uncover Mitsuri's mouth, and she squeals. Loudly.

I cover her mouth again, fearing for her vocal chords and my eardrums. I leaned against the door frame of the door, crossing my arms.

The class before lunch had ended about five minutes earlier, and Shinobu had told Mitsuri and I to go ahead. She was taking a suspiciously long time, so we went inside to check for ourselves, and immediately regretted it.

She and Tomioka somehow ended up in a heated kiss while clinging onto each other tightly... this is a classroom, for god's sake.

Shinobu pulls away quickly, blushing, and I gestured towards Tomioka with my free hand.

"How did he even get here in the first place..?" I ask.

"I was in this class the whole time," he answers.

Mitsuri and I stare at him with a confused expression.

"Seriously? You never noticed? What bad friends you are~" Shinobu smirks.

I roll my eyes. "What bad students you are, making out in the classroom..."

They both look away, embarrassed.

I pull Mitsuri out of the classroom, telling her "let's give them some space, or I'll go drown in bleach later".

She lets herself be dragged out, speaking excitedly all the while.

"What should their ship name be?? Do they already have one?! Maybe like Giyubu? Ew no, that sounds weird... Shinoyu? Don't like that either... What do you think Y/n??"

I give her a "stfu I'm hungry" look, which effectively quiets her. I let go of her wrist, and we make our way to the typical lunch spot.

I plop down in my usual seat next to Muichiro and start gulping down my food. I occasionally stop to make small talk with the boy next to me, my thoughts still swirling in my head about liking him. Muichiro taps my shoulder after a little bit, his gaze on my energetic pink haired friend.

"Why is she so loud today..."

I turn towards her, Mitsuri's engaged in conversation with Tengen and Zenitsu.

"-for Shinogiyu?" Mitsuri asks loudly.

Mitsuri raises her own hand.

"Alright then, Giyushino?"

Tengen throws his hand up enthusiastically.

Zenitsu looks like a ghost, murmuring "I should prepare for Valentine's day, or I'll be left alone..."

Mitsuri puts her hand on her chin, a serious look on her face.

"It looks like a tie."

I exchange blank looks with Muichiro, turning back to my food.

~Time skip to end of the school day~

Tengen, Shinobu, Mitsuri and I stroll down the sidewalk, talking about random things along the way. Somehow, the topic of dating and relationships came up.

"My mom says I'm not allowed to be in a relationship until I'm 25!" Mitsuri whines. "It's just not fair..."

Tengen nods sympathetically. "Must be tough."

"I'm also a little glad though, because I don't want to get heartbroken by anyone!" Mitsuri perks up.

"Ah yes, being heartbroken sucks. I recently just got over Shinobu over here!" Tengen admits. Shinobu, Mitsuri, and I look over at him, stunned.

"Guess you have no qualms about telling everyone..."

"I thought we were keeping this a secret, Tengen-san."

"Poor you! If you need anyone, come to me okay?"

We all say at once.

Tengen laughs.

"I might've been rejected, but at least I had the balls to confess! Unlike Y/n over here."

I shoot an alarmed look at him, quickly saying, "I don't like Muichiro! And I don't have balls, I'm female."

"Well girls can be ballsy too y'know-" he mutters.

"Then how did you know who he was talking about Y/n-chan?" Mitsuri asks curiously.

I blush. "U-um, I guessed...?"

They all stare at me, not believing my lie.

I sigh. "Okay, I do have a crush on him..." I eventually admit.

"You should confess then!" Mitsuri advises happily.

"Hell no."

"Ugh, you're so hard to deal with. What do you even like about him then, my dear sister?" Tengen rolls his eyes in exasperation.

"He looks like my favorite anime character," I answer.

"Wee-" my twin starts to say, but I interrupt him.

"And he's kind, and funny, and cool, and smart, and amazing, and pretty-"

"Pff pretty-" Shinobu giggles behind her hand.

"And what's wrong with that?!" I huff, crossing my arms indignantly.
