Y/n's POV:

Brringg

Brringg

Slam.

I groan in pain quietly as the world slowly comes into focus, rubbing my sore hand.

I sit up in bed, rubbing my eyes blearily and getting ready, before heading down to breakfast as usual. Tengen sits there, already eating some cereal contentedly.

"G'morning Y/n," he greets me, waving one hand.

"Hey Tengen," I smile at him.

"Oho, someone's in a good mood." He notes, before wiggling his eyebrows. "Ooh, is it because of him?"

"Huh? I'm not in a particularly good mood. What are you talking about?"

"No, you would never smile at me otherwise," he says.

"I- ok that's sorta true." I admit.

"So is it because of Muichiro? Or do you just happen to be in a good mood for absolutely no reason?" Tengen rests his head on the palm of his hand, observing me.

"No one just happens to be in a good mood for no reason, that's ridiculous," I say.

"I mean, I do, and you're just proving my point. Besides, don't avoid the question here," he accuses me.

"I'm not- okay yes, I am in a good mood because of him. Happy now?" I roll my eyes.

"Very."

"Well you seem like you're in a good mood too," I comment.

"Hm, maybe I am..." my twin smiles absentmindedly. Little did I know he was actually thinking of a certain Hinatsuru. 😏

After I finish my own small breakfast of cereal, we walk to school, meeting up with Mitsuri and Shinobu on the way.

I breathe in the refreshing crisp air, enjoying the cool freshness.

"-mood and then I got her to admit it was because of Muichiro!" I sigh as Tengen rambles on about our conversation this morning.

"Omg!! I still can't believe my ship sailed! They're so cute together, after all," Mitsuri says excitedly.

Shinobu giggles in amusement. "Ara ara~ I think I might puke. how disgustingly sweet."

I glare at her. First the embarrassment from Mitsuri and Tengen, then Shinobu-- give me a break...out of the three people to stick by in highschool, I had to choose these three.

We soon reach the front of the school, and I immediately spot Muichiro. Recalling the teasing from earlier, I blush profusely.

"Aw look, she's blushing," Tengen smirks.

Shut up Tengen...

I take a breath and regain my calm composure with difficulty. After I'm ready, I walk towards Muichiro and Yuichiro, a little nervous.

"Hey you two!" I wave, but hesitate when I only see one person.

"Where's your twin..?" I ask, looking around.

"With Iguro-san." Muichiro answers, nodding in the opposite direction.

I then see Yuichiro over with Iguro. Somehow he had walked over without me noticing.

It's just the two of us... Why did it feel so natural yesterday, but so awkward now?

"Hey, so um... Just to clarify, I'm your, uh- girlfriend now, right..?" I silently curse myself internally for being so inexperienced in relationships.

He blushes softly. "Yup, that's right..."

Muichiro then takes my hand, rather suddenly, and my gaze turns to our clasped hands in mild surprise. "That means I can do this right? Is it ok...?"

I nod silently. His hand is bigger than I thought, encasing my hand easily.

He then calls my name, and we both stop in the middle of the hallway, not caring about what others thought. "Hey Y/n. Do you know what the word idyll means?"

I look back at him. "You know I don't have the best vocabulary, Muichiro."

He chuckles. "Guess I should have known. An idyll is basically a utopia, a perfect place. Like... super happy and peaceful I guess."

"Probably the prettiest word I've ever heard," I comment.

"Haha yeah. Anyways, you know how in English class our teacher was blabbering on about utopias and dystopias, and how utopias are unrealistic?"

"Um- you know I don't pay attention in class either, especially not English class," I remind him.

"True," He nods thoughtfully. "Anyways, the thing is, this world is flawed, yes. Many people even see current world as a dystopia."

"And?" I tilt my head, unsure of where this conversation was going.

Muichiro looks directly into my eyes. "My point is-- somehow, you turn this flawed world into our own idyll."

I blush, caught off guard. When did Muichiro become so poetic?

I then ask him my own question.

"Hey Muichiro. Promise me something?" I ask.

"Sure, what is it?" Muichiro asks.

"Promise me we'll always stay together." I whisper, grasping his hand tightly.

He nods, smiling reassuringly.

"I promise."
