Cold soothing air walks through the window
And dances on my skin in an oddly fast adagio,

It's been months and weeks since I felt alive like this
So I sit up in my bed and refuse to reminisce.

Five forty-five in the morning and the city starts to wake up,
The waters twirl and shiver from the winds caressing touch,
I'm staring at the morning sky trying my best not to shake-up
The smiles, memories, and times with her that matter to me so much.

August says a bittersweet hi
God paints the sky and the lights turn on,
I know that this month imma keep going high
So I say my morning prayers then pick myself up and run!
