The skies flickered a fading blue,
My mind ate more than it could chew,
The weight had me to the floor and I knew
That the pain had gotten too hard to subdue.Had a crew but now it's me and me,
Christmas comes and leaves with no drop of glee,
I'll try my best to stand but I can't guarantee
That I'll make it back home as the best that I should be.There's a pain in my heart that makes my body shudder,
The silence screams in me as the lights go further,
Like a sinking ship that has lost it's rudder
I'll reach for the light, so help me father.
