_______________________________________"Y/N! PLEASE!"
Behind him running like him, were Doavolo, Solomon, Simeon and Micheal. Luke tried to pull you in for a hug, when you suddenly lost your balance and were tumbling to the floor, Luke tried to reach his hand for you, only to fail. Everyone was crying. This is it.
Goodbye.
You fell. And you fell hard.
Your life flashing before your eyes quickly, your mind blanking out the faces you once could distinguish from a crowd of millions, they were so unfamiliar.
The demon brothers, the prince, the one other human, the angels, and the butler.
That fucking Butler.
You'd fallen for him so hard, almost as hard as the impact of the actual fall.
That's it.
The fall.
You remember it so clearly now. You remember how you died.
Their desperate attempts, their cries and shrieks for you to stop, but the bulter wasn't there.
The man who had sworn to stay by your side now gazed out at your lifeless body, no emotion in his eyes as he sighed.
"Humans. They're so weak, and yet I've fallen for one, and now, they appear to have fallen after the last one."
You stammered your way back to the Purgatory halls, the only place you were welcomed, the only place you knew.
But no one answered.
The men who once sworn to protect you and to be your lifeline, a shoulder to cry on when you needed them, had left you, like all the others.
You just weren't meant to be.
A human among demons,
A sheep among wolves,
A fool among other fools. And yet, you had fallen for all of those fools.
They were demons, and even the ones who weren't seemed like demons, leaving you in your times of desperation.

Barbatos knew.
He knew that you weren't in the Celestial realm like Simeon and Luke prayed for, you were too weak and fell for a demon, so now you shall live like one, amongst them as you dealt with the hard reality that they weren't going to return to you.
"My lord, it appears we have a visitor."
Those words sent shivers down your spine.
You were still connected as one at the core, knowing each and every one of eachovers thoughts as you turned stone cold.
You knew it.
You were just another one of his toys to play with and then throw away when he got bored.
Well.
Isn't that beautiful.
Such a beautiful demon, you thought as you met him.
He can't be a demon, he's so caring, so loving.
So fake.
You realize that now, though you didn't then.
The stares of passion he shared, soft glances shot your way, were all just a part of the sick delusion in which he cast the spell upon you long ago.
Those weren't stares of passion, they were stares of compassion. The demon pittied your cluelessness as you fell head over heals with him without even questioning his motives.
A stupid human, and an even stupider demon.

It wasn't the same around the Devildom.
Though Diavolo took you under his wing, the air was still dense as you breathed, empty stares at the butler as he served his master, just as he served as a husband before he would move onto wife number ###.
The demon king tried his best to loosen up the tension, but he should've known it was no use.
Seeing you bellow as thick tears were engraved in your pillow every night brought a sociopathic smile to the butlers face as he walked by your door, to stop for a brief second before continuing the cycle of taunting you without even saying a word to you.
Diavolo's fruitless attempts were starting to get old, yet the boomer wouldn't give up, what would he even get from this?
A sense of relief that the thick mist would rise from the two of you for a short while, before the cycle of torment repeated itself?
The days went by, turning into months, and eventually years, until the new exchange students arrived.
You shot empty glares at the young female human, who you knew Barbatos had set his eyes upon from the very beginning of seeing her picture.
"Please don't fall for him."
You would whisper to her whenever you were alone, you knew Barbatos knew about your attempts to bring the woman away from the vile monster, but in the end, the effort was for nothing.
She fell. Not in the sense as you did, but she fell for him.
The wedding came and passed, and your heart shattered as they revealed their pregnancy.
The thick fog around the room cleared.
After so much torment, suffering, and even though you had nothing left, you were free of the sick demon's grasp.
He finally settled down, and in the end, you had to accept it.
He was never going to come back to you, but you had a new beginning atleast.
The months came and went, as you met up with some old friends. The angels had been granted access to the Devildom once every year for the child's birthday, as the baby would need to be taught between right and wrong, and who better to do that than the beings of the Celestial realm?
You caught up with them, and even thought they saw the deep glare in which seemed to fixate on nothing, they ignored it, you had experience alot of traumatic events, it wasn't a surprise you had no emotion left, just empty smiles, and an empty heart, that would only be fulfilled by one man.
Diavolo.
As soon as you let go of Barbatos, coming to the realization that the man had finally settled down, you were happy. Not just for yourself, but for him.
A part of you still loved him, even after the violent cycle of psychological abuse in which he put you through.
After catching up with the angels, Simeon, who was now a father, and Luke who had officially celebrated his one year anniversary with his girlfriend, not to forget the sorcerer who was now happily married with a child and a pregnant wife, you caught up with some lost connections. You followed the dark sunlit grey brick road to the demon brothers door step.
You had admired them from afar but had never attempted to speak with you after the incident, you had the courage to do it.
In the end, it all worked out.
Your old severed connections were reconnected,
You had accepted that the love between you and Barbatos was no longer mutual, but one sided,
But atleast you could have a conversation with the man without feeling abused,
But most importantly,
You had a baby on the way.
