NAPASIMANGOT na lang ako at napairap nang makita ang gulat na gulat niyang mukha. Well, this scene is kinda unexpected, so I understand his reaction.
So, I should be good to him dahil nandito si Mrs. Bernardo. Even if I don't want to, kailangan hindi ko siya sungitan-------
"Eris?! Eris!! Ikaw nga! Ang tagal kitang hindi nakita! Tinataguan mo ako no?"
Okay. I changed my mind.
"Wag ka sumigaw! You're so oa!" I said, my eyebrows knitted, and my eyes glaring. "Tsaka, may I remind you, that we just saw each other days ago!"
"Galit ka na naman. Bakit ang sungit mo lagi sa akin?" nagtatampong sabi niya. My face crumpled in disgust because of his pitiful look.
"Teka, magkakilala kayo ng anak ko?" Mrs. Bernardo barged into our talk.
Kyler faced her, smiling from ear to ear. "Siya po pala yung anak niyo na ikinukwento niyo sa akin. Nagkakilala lang ho kami nung Lunes."
"Ah, mabuti at magkaibigan na kayo----"
"We're actually NOT friends," agad na pagputol ko sa kanya. Friends? Siya? At ako? No way! He insulted me just a week ago so I can't accept him as my friends. And also, I don't add a poor people to my circle. "He's just an annoying man who keeps pestering me."
"Ouch. Na-deny ako." He doesn't seem offended with my words. Mukhang tuwang-tuwa pa nga siya kapag sinusungitan ko siya eh. "Nay oh, niaaway niya ako."
Napailing na lang si Mrs. Bernardo sa amin habang ihinahanda ang mga binili ni Kyler. While Kyler, as a 'feeling close' person he is, immediately stood beside her and helped on pouring the sauce on the plastic cup.
May mga lumapit pang ibang tao para bumili kaya nagpatuloy lang ako sa pagsusukli. I winced when a strangers hand unconsciously touched mine when he's taking the change from me. At nang mag-angat ako ng tingin sa kanya, abala lang siya sa pagkain habang inilalagay sa bulsa ang sukli. His face and hands are covered with white dust, while his clothes are dirty. He look like someone who works on dusty areas. A construction worker, I guess.
I immediately wipe the part of my hand that touched his on my shirt. My face automatically crumpled and I fought the urge to smell my hand. Malay ko ba kung anong bacteria ang nasa katawan niya. He's so dirty. I'm actually keeping myself from pushing him away from here dahil nandito si Mrs. Bernardo at baka makarating pa kay Venice. Not that I'm scared of her. I just know what she's capable of. Pero kung pwede lang, I'll shoo that dirty man away from here. Sumasakit ang mata ko sa kanya.
"Ano ho ang bibilhin niyo?" tanong ni Kyler sa mga babaeng kaharap niya. My brows raised when I noticed the girl's reddened cheeks while staring at him. They looked like they're in front of someone very handsome that they actually don't know how to act. It grosses me out.
Hindi naman gwapo si Kyler! What does this girls see that I don't? Ordinary lang ang itsura ni Kyler para sa akin. He doesn't have something special at him that makes the girls go crazy over him! I've met a lot of students in the university that are better looking than him. So I can't understand.
"What a flirt." Naiiling kong bulong nang makaalis ang mga babaeng kinikilig dahil sa pagngiti sa kanila nitong lalaking ito.
"Huh? Anong flirt?"
I was kinda shocked that he heard that because my voice is really mahina. Inikutan ko siya ng mata.
Acting innocent, huh?
