Phoenix's POV

After Taehyung had completed his interrogation with Noble Son, he and Jisoo along with the troop of Imperial Gaurd headed towards the Kang Manor.

"Taehyung ah. They didn't buried the dead body of Minister Kang's son yet?" Jisoo ask, leaning onto my chest.

"No. They didn't as we have to complete our investigation. Checking the dead body will be needed. And as he died yesterday, his body shouldn't be rotten yet." Taehyung replied.

Jisoo gave a naturally cute nod as an indication that she understood.

"But Taehyung ah, I have kept this inside me since morning but I am it saying now,"

Jisoo glance back at the Imperial gaurds all dressed in blue,

"Those Imperial gaurds are looking quiet manly and attractive in their Imperial dress."

Someone just got triggered hearing that.

That someone would be none other than Assistant Imperial Commander, Kim Taehyung.

His grip on the lead rope tighten as his aura became cold.

"Sooyaa, look at me." Taehyung let out in a low yet cold voice.

Jisoo tore away her gaze from the Imperial gaurds and look at her husband.

Taehyung look down at Jisoo before claiming her lips.

Jisoo's eyes widen. They are in public right now.

Jisoo panic as she lightly push away Taehyung.

"Taehyung ah, what was that. We are outside right now." She wispher.

"Don't ever praise another man. Only look at me." He growl.

Jisoo stiffen at her place before she started laughing.

She cup Taehyung's face before leaving a peck.

"I didn't knew that Assist.Imperial Commander can get jealous also." She tease.

Taehyung buried his face in the crook of Jisoo's neck, inhaling her sweet scent.

"As I said, you are mine and mine alone." Taehyung says.

Phoenix's POV

They soon reached the Kang Manor.

They could hear the loud cries of the people inside.

The Imperial gaurds surrounded the whole place.

Taehyung and Jisoo goy down the horse and make their way towards inside.

The gaurds, gaurding the main door, bowed to them.

Once they were inside, they were welcomed with a book covered with white cloth and the people mourning around the body.

"Minister Kang." Taehyung bowed due to formalities.

"Assist.Imperial Commander." Minister Kang stood up from his place and returned the bow.

"We are here to inspect the body." Taehyung replied, maintaining his cold gaze.

"Yes, ofcourse."

Jisoo just stood at the side as she didn't wanted to disturb Taehyung in his work.

She wasn't in her usual hanbok today.

She was wearing a light one today. Usually worn by the people when they are traveling.

Yeonjun, was ofcourse with Taehyung.

Taehyung removed the white cloth till his neck level.

It was all burnt down.

"The body is all burned. How are you so sure that this is the body of your son, Minister Kang?" Taehyung raise his one brow.

One woman replied instead,"We found the shard of a sword inside his ribs which was left there once because of an accident."

"You are?" Taehyung ask.

"Ah. She is is my wife. The biological mother of my son." Minister Kang answered.

"Yeonjun, the kit of needles and knives." Taehyung ask.

"Sir." Yeonjun open a kit with needles and small knives.

Jisoo just stare at Taehyung with admiration.

While, Taehyung took a samll knife and made a samll cut at the mentioned place.

And there, he took out a small shard.

"There is the shard." Minister Kang's wife said.

Taehyung look at Minister Kang's wife and then Minister Kang.

"Yeonjun. Do you have a handkerchief?" Taehyung ask.

"Sorry sir. I don't."

"I have." Jisoo took out her handkerchief and handed it to Taehyung.

It was at that moment, the people notice Jisoo.

And as expected, they were flabbergasted seeing her.

"Did the heaven come down to earth."

were the only thing that could think.

The shard of the knife was covered with dried blood.

Taehyung stood up and tried to wipe the blood.

And it did got rid of the dirt!

Taehyung carefully place it on the cloth that Yeonjun was holding.

Taehyung smirk.

He knew from the moment he saw the burnt body.

But he just confirmed his suspicions.

This body wasn't Minister Kang's son.
