A Place Like Hell

I envy the ones sleeping for decades,
Innocent as they drift in nothingness.
I'm tired of playing this game of charades,
I'm restless in waiting for Death's caress.

I can still remember myself saying,
"I should work with what I got all the time",
But reality said I got nothing,
I'm just a nobody making up rhymes.

My being's crushed by my own life and mind,
And in this new world, I opened my eyes,
But I can't even do the things like find
My life's purpose in this prison of lies.

I am plucked from the stars and placed here,
In a place like hell where I live with fear.
