Emily had a friend
And she thought he was her light.
But seasons change, and so did he
And soon enough, she realized a friend could be an enemy.

Emily once went to town,
And on her way home, she met him.
Yes, she admits, she can be greedy,
But his friend Sammy can be, too.

He stood on her way, frown on his face,
And shouter at her with all his receipts.
He said, "You're very greedy, just like Sammy!"
And he ended what they had on that road.

The next day, Emily went to the city
And saw him with Sammy in an alley.
Emily sees with her own two eyes that Sammy's being greedy,
But her friend-turned-enemy remained smiling.

He stood there, a bag of his empty,
For Sammy ate all his favorite candy.
Emily watched as he nodded and kept his mouth shut
As Sammy "borrowed" all his hard-earned money.
