Immaculate Light

The weeds of evil are abundant at my feet
And the devils are close behind me.
I want to run away, I'm scared
But they have chains and receipts to use for me.
Yesterday, I thought they were angels,
They had these smiles that were so bright.
They gave me nectar to drink when I'm thirsty,
But I was wrong when I stepped
In a pure, immaculate light.
The devils did everything for an exchange,
And I'm nothing when I don't have anything
To give in return.
They count all they have given me,
Even if it's just dust or coal.
I want to fly away from them,
But I still haven't got my wings.
I'm still like a new leaf in spring,
Yet Time is a friend in need
And it has the power to change seasons.
Soon, I'll fly away.
I'll cut their chains and burn their weeds
And follow the immaculate light.
