Pat had been sick,  a migraine was pounding on the right side of her head, her stomach was queasy as she kept throwing up, and she had just gotten cold. She was exhausted and could not sleep. It was not as if her body was just tired, even her soul was tired. On her bed, she was surrounded by kleenex tissues scattered about.

She had been locked up in her room watching old movies on her projector. Her mother, Sheila had tried feeding her with her tinola but Pat cannot keep anything down her stomach.

She knew her mother was concerned, it was written all over her mom's face.  But how could she explain to her mother that she was sad because she made out with the Philippines' most notorious heiress?

Lying down on her side as she watched the screen flicker nonstop.  She was watching Notting Hill and she just watched a regular guy, Hugh Grant confess to the world that he chose a big star played by Julia Roberts as his forever love.  In an epic scene in the film, the crowds of press and paparazzi flocked to the couple as Elvis Costello's "She" plays in the background.

"Napaka-Bullshit," Pat said as she threw a tissue in the direction of her make-shift screen.

It has been days since she last saw Krystal. She knew that was a burnt bridge. She wanted to despise her but she could not.   A huge part of her was still grieving for the lost friendship with the endearing but revenge-driven socialite.
