Nandani held a deep hatred for the man standing before her. She had fervently prayed to never cross paths with him again, but it seemed that fate had conspired against her.

"Nandani Murthy!" Manik chuckled. "Look at the plans of the Lord. Last time, you witnessed me killing Dhruv and today you've seen me killing my adversaries. I saw the consequences of sparing your life last time, but darling I don't make the same mistakes twice."

He aimed his gun at her, his finger hovering over the trigger, yet she remained fearless.

Manik's hands began to quiver, causing the weapon to slip from his grasp and clatter to the floor.

"Leave from here, before I change my mind and kill you," he snarled.

Nandani calmly exited the restaurant, while Manik stood frozen in his place, his gaze fixed upon her until she vanished from sight.

Cabir's face contorted with bewilderment as he questioned, "Are you drunk? Why did you let her go? Don't tell me you've fallen in love with her."

Manik snapped out of his daze, his mind racing to catch up with the sudden turn of events.

"Um...uh...what?" he stammered, struggling to find the right words.

"Have you fallen in love with that girl?" Cabir probed once more.

With each beat of his heart, Manik felt a surge of emotions coursing through his veins. His chest tightened, and the butterflies danced in his stomach.

"Hey?" Cabir's voice trailed off, awaiting an explanation.

With a gruff voice, Manik issued a firm order. "Throw away the bodies, delete CCTV footage. Get rid of every piece of evidence," he commanded, his voice leaving no room for debate. He swiftly left the restaurant, while Cabir stared at him bemused.

As Manik arrived in the parking lot, he found Nandani involved in a heated argument with a friend. Hiding behind a car, he heard their conversation.

Navya's voice quivered as she pleaded, "I am sorry, my dear. Please stop crying. I never wanted to hurt you."

"Navya, you have hurt me by withholding the truth from me. Why didn't you tell me?" Nandani wept softly.

With a tinge of curiosity, Navya inquired, "Would you consider meeting Dr Aryaman if he were to express his love and request to take you out on a dinner date? Would you consider giving him a chance?"

Nandani's response was resolute, "I love Dhruv with all my heart. I will continue to love him till my last breath. No other man can replace him."

"What will you do once Ram and Priya leave France?" Navya questioned, concerned for Nandani's future. "How will you manage on your own?"

"Have you ever thought about your safety? You are aware that Manik rules over the entire country. What if he does something to you? He came to the restaurant today; perhaps he is stalking you."

Nandani laughed dismissively, brushing off the threat. "What can he do? Kill me?"

"He certainly can! He has the power to take your life in the same way as he took Dhruv's." Navya stated the fact.

Nandani retorted, "So let him kill me. I am not terrified of death. That Satan no longer frightens me. Don't you know that the devils are always defeated in the end? Good triumphs over evil."

As Nandani sat into the cab, driving away, Manik in his black Lamborghini followed closely behind.

He clenched the steering wheel with an iron grip. His knuckles turned as pale as the moon.

"Nandani, what magic have you done?" he murmured.

"Why can't I simply kill you? Your emerald green eyes, like precious gems, bewitch me, making me powerless. I am the cause of your tears, the reason for your pain. How I wish to erase the hatred that you've for me from your beautiful eyes," he confessed.

As the cab halted at a two-story apartment, Manik parked the car into the opposite lane. He observed Nandani getting out of the vehicle. A surge of adrenaline coursed through his veins as he grabbed his gun, his grip firm.

Silently, he followed her, his footsteps echoing through the night. Nandani, unaware of his presence, unlocked the door to her house. Manik forcefully pushed her inside, and slammed the door.

Nandani gasped as she looked at the person before her. She masked her fear with a bold look refusing to let this devil see her vulnerability.

"What's your damn problem?" she screamed. "Why the hell are you following me?"

The devil's eyes narrowed, a cold smile playing on his lips. "Watch your tongue," he warned, his voice dripping with menace. "I won't tolerate disrespect."

Nandani roared, "I'm sorry I had to stoop down to your level while speaking with you. Now, get out of my house right now or I'll call the cops. And believe me, I will not change my statement this time, and I will see to it that you spend the rest of your life behind bars."

Amused, the devil leaned closer, his gaze locked with hers. "Is that so?" he asked, enthralled.

"I'm not kidding, I..." Manik pinned her to a nearby wall before she could finish her sentence.

"You're a fool if you believe you can have me punished for my actions. I've got the whole of France under my control, baby. Look, even after killing your fiance, I'm free. What did the cops do, hun?"

"I promise, Nandani Murthy, I am going to make your life miserable," he said into her ear.

"I'm not afraid of you, Lucifer," Nandani retorted.

Her words seemed to momentarily stun him, a flicker of vulnerability crossing his face. He turned and left the house, while Nandani quickly locked the door behind him. Overwhelmed by emotions, she collapsed onto the floor, tears streaming down her face.

"Oh God, give me the strength to face this devil," she cried.
