"Nandini belongs to me. She belongs to Lucifer," Manik whispered, taking a sip of his beer.
"She will never be yours, Manik. You killed her fiancé," Cabir shouted, his voice filled with anger.
Manik pulled out a gun from his pocket, pointing it at C...

"Buddy, Mukti, and Abhimanyu are returning to France tomorrow," Cabir said while texting someone on the phone. When he didn't receive a response from his friend, he looked at him and found him absorbed in deep thoughts.
Cabir rolled his eyes. "What the fuck are you thinking? Are you trying to avoid me?"
"What's the matter?" Cabir was now worried. "You look distressed. You know you can talk to me if something bothers you?"
'Nandu,' was the only word that escaped from Manik's mouth.
"Nandu?" Cabir was befuddled. "Oh, are you speaking about Nandani Ramman Murthy?" he asked after a brief pause.
Manik gave a slight nod. "Cabir, I can't stop thinking about her. There is a widespread fear of mine in France. People are petrified of me. However, Nandani is not scared of me. She is fearless. Even when I pointed my gun at her, she remained calm. And her eyes. Oh, my Goodness! It leaves me feeling weak and dizzy. I get lost in them."
Cabir set his phone down and stared at his best friend.
Manik felt more and more frustrated as he grappled with his conflicting emotions. "My hands never shiver when I'm slaughtering people. But, why do my hands tremble when I aim my pistol at her? I can't bring myself to pull the trigger and end it all," he muttered, running his fingers through his unkempt hair.
Cabir chimed in mischievously, "Maybe because you've fallen in love with her."
Annoyed, Manik retorted, "Don't be ridiculous, Cabir. Do you not know me? Lucifer only has one-night stands with chicks."
"Yes, I've known you for the past eighteen years, and that's why I am saying that you never left those people alive who dared to speak against you. However, I believe Nandani is an exception," Cabir ribbed. "She pressed charges against you, but you left her alive. Today, she saw you killing our adversaries, and yet again, you left her unharmed. What is love if not this?"
"But Cabir, I am a cold-hearted mob boss," Manik countered.
Cabir shrugged. "Even the toughest hearts can be touched. Even the mafias can fall in love."
"Oh, my goodness. Why did I even open up about my feelings?" Manik let out an exasperated sigh.
Cabir couldn't contain his excitement. He jabbered eagerly, jumping up, and down. "This is an extraordinary love story, Manik. The love story of Lucifer and an Angel. I am very happy!"
"What's got you so fired up, hun? If you say another word, I'll shoot you "Manik was enraged.
"Oh, my God. I feel like eating you up," Cabir guffawed as he smacked Manik on the back. "You're adorable."
Manik gave Cabir a menacing look. If looks could kill, Cabir would have been dead by now.

Nandani was sitting on the edge of the bed, looking at Dhruv's photographs.
"I miss you, my love," she whispered."You promised to never abandon me, but here I am, left alone in this cruel world."
Nandani's phone buzzed with a hello message from an unknown number.
"Who is this?" she questioned.
The reply came swiftly. "I am the one who has caused you immense pain. I'm genuinely sorry, hoping that you can find it in your heart to forgive me."
As Nandani read those words, tears cascaded down her cheeks, blurring her vision.
"Is that you, Lucifer?" she replied.
"It's me, Dr Aryaman Khurrana. Nandani, please accept my heartfelt apologies. I didn't mean to hurt you. Please forgive me if you can. I know I should have told you about my feelings instead of reaching out to your friend. I was afraid," another message arrived.
Nandani, wiping away her tears, took a deep breath and replied to him.
"It's alright, Doctor. I understand your fear, and I forgive you."
She turned off her phone and lay next to the photographs of Dhruv. With a tender touch and a heavy heart, she kissed each picture.
Manik, on the other hand, was feeling an unknown pain in his heart. "You will be destroyed one day Lucifer, and the entire world will see your destruction. I curse you. I curse you, monster," Nandani's voice echoed in his ears.
"Manik," Cabir yelled. "Are you even listening to me? I'm not speaking to the walls."
"Hmm?" Manik hummed as he sipped his beer from his glass.
"We received 57 contracts for killing last month, and we carried them out all. Despite numerous warnings, two of our clients refused to pay the full amount, so I killed them," explained Cabir.
Manik smirked, "You did a great job.
"There is a call for you, Cabir Sir," a man said as he walked up to the bar.
"At four? Cabir yelled furiously, staring at his watch. "Who is it?"
"It's one of your clients, boss," the man said as he handed him the phone.
Cabir, still groggy, murmured, "Hello, who's speaking?"
Cabir, hey. Ram on the line," the low voice on the other end of the line said.
"Hi, Mr. Kapoor. How have you been? Tell me, who would you like to see dead now? Cabir was keen to know.
Nandani Murthy, my son's fiancee," Ram responded.
"Meet me at the mansion tomorrow at ten o'clock sharp, with money and her photograph!"
Saying this Cabir hung up the phone.
"Now, who does he want to kill?" Manik yawned, as he rubbed his swollen eyes.
"Nandani," Cabir informed.
