"You attacked Nandani last night by stabbing her with a knife," Cabir said as he sipped his beer.

The events of last night flashed before Manik's eyes. He pulled his hair in frustration. His lips bled as he bit them hard.

"Fuck. Fuck. Fuck," Manik muttered, his voice trembling. "How could I have inflicted such harm upon that delicate soul?"

"Easy, buddy. Take a deep breath. It's alright," Cabir pacified him.

Manik let out a guttural cry. "It's not alright! Last night, I was on the verge of killing her. She will despise me even more now. I can't withstand seeing the hatred in her eyes for me."

"Nandani is meant to be yours. Whether she likes it or not," Cabir said. "If you command it, I will bring her to you. I give you my word."

"I must meet her. I must seek her forgiveness for the sin I have committed. I must meet her," he muttered to himself.

Cabir, interjected with a wry chuckle. "Think before you act. Don't be a moron. Do you believe that if you confront Nandani and apologise to her, she will gladly accept your apology and embrace you in her arms?"

Manik scowled, "I will meet her, and I don't think I need your permission for that."

"You were right; you sinned, not by stabbing that girl, but by falling in love with her. You have no idea how she can wreck your life," Cabir warned him.

Undeterred by his friend's words, Manik dismissed him, and strode out of the house, his heart set on seeking her apology and facing the consequences of his actions.

"Oh Lord, give this lovestruck puppy some brains," Cabir sighed dramatically, as he followed Manik.

Manik, his frustration still evident, turned to Cabir and raised his voice, "Why on earth are you following me?"

Cabir, retorted, a playful smirk on his face, "Well, my dear friend, it seems that ever since you have fallen in love, you have lost your brain. I am here to ensure that you don't get into any more troubles."

He confidently took hold of the steering wheel. Manik glared at him while folding his arms across his chest.

"Aww, Manik, you're making me blush! I know I'm quite the handsome devil, but please, stop looking at me like that. Don't get too caught up in my irresistible charm," Cabir playfully responded, feigning shyness.

Manik shook his head in disbelief and sat inside the car. Cabir started the engine and drove away. He was driving at a glacial pace, mumbling the lyrics of his favourite song.

"For God's sake, hurry up. You're driving a fucking Bugatti, not a bicycle. If you keep driving at this pace, we'll reach Nandani's house tomorrow," Manik fumed.

"Stop whining all the time. Look, the sun is setting, and the birds are flying back home," Cabir chirped, peering out the window. "The sky is painted in orange hues. Enjoy the drive and this spectacular view."
