Nandani's voice quivered as she confronted the intruder. "You? How did you get into my house?" she questioned.

A sardonic laugh escaped Manik's lips as he slowly walked towards her. "Ah, mon amour, were you and your companions hatching a plot to get away from me?" he jeered.

Nandani yelled angrily, "Stop right there. Leave my house, immediately. You won't like what I will do to you!"

A furrow formed on Manik's brow, but a wicked grin played upon his lips. "Ah, I am enamored by this side of yours," he murmured, his tone enticingly low. "Show me what can you do."

"I...I am going to kill you," she stated brusquely. "I'm going to stab you with my knife."

Nandani's heart pounded in her chest as Manik's laughter reverberated through the room.

"This is no joke. I can kill you," she said. "If you want to stay alive, you better leave my house this instant."

Manik, swiftly, cornered her against the wall, snatching the knife from her grasp. His grip tightened around her waist. "Oh, mon chéri," he whispered in her ear. "Angels don't sin. Only the devil can sin."

Nandani pushed him with all her might, but Manik didn't budge at all. She tried to scream, but Manik covered her mouth with his large hand. "Hush now, my angel," he cooed. "Not a word from your mouth. I don't want your neighbours to wake up. Let them sleep peacefully, for if they come here, I won't think twice before killing them."

Tears welled up in Nandani's eyes. Manik planted a gentle kiss on her temple. "I won't hurt you," he murmured. "All I ask is your obedience, and all shall be well."

Nandani nodded. Manik took a few steps back.

"What brings you here? What do you want from me now?" she asked, her voice trembling.

"You," Manik declared, his gaze fixated on her. "It is you, my precious baby girl, that I yearn for."

Nandani yelled angrily, "You wicked creature! I despise you. Can't you understand that, you feeble-minded fool?" she seethed.

"YOU BELONG TO ME, NANDANI MURTHY," he bellowed. "Whether you accept it or not."

"I shall never be yours, Lucifer," she declared. "You have destroyed my happiness. I wonder what enmity you held against me. What did Dhruv ever do to you? Why did you snuff out his innocent life, you heartless creature."

"You claim to love me," she continued. "But let me tell you something. Your heart is filled with hatred, and, cruelty. There's no place for love in it. You are nothing more than a heartless demon. Why did your mother not kill you at birth? Had she done so, countless lives would have been spared from your wickedness."

"Manik, please go to your room." "She's such a whore, guys, we're going to have a great night." "Yes, we forced Alizey into sex trafficking." "Ah...stop, it hurts." "Manik, please go away. I'm okay, my little brother."

"Stop!" Manik screamed, his hands frantically covering his ears. Nandani was taken aback, her eyes widening in shock.

"Scream as loud as you can, slut."

He sobbed, his body curled up in a ball, clutching his knees as if seeking solace. Tears cascaded down his cheeks.

"My Alizey. Please don't hurt her."

Nandani stood there perplexed and astonished. It was a side of him, she had never witnessed before.

She thought, "Perhaps he's acting to garner sympathy."

"I'll call the cops if you don't leave my house right now. I'll tell them that a murderer has broken into my home and is trying to harm me."

Sniffing back his tears, Manik locked eyes with her, his voice filled with anger. "I need to know, Nandani. Where is Alizey? What have you done with her?"

"Who is Alizey?" Nandani was bemused.

"Did you sell her?" He stood up with the support of the wall.

"What nonsense? Stop this drama and leave my house right away," she scowled.

"Where is my Aly?" This time, he screamed at the top of his lungs. He took the fruit knife that was lying on the floor and placed it against her neck. "I'll slit your throat if you don't tell me where she is."

"Lucifer, I honestly have no clue who you're referring to. I have no idea who  Alizey is."

"STOP THIS BULLSHIT. I know you're deceiving me. You forced her into sex trafficking. Tell me, who did you sell her to?"

"I'm not lying!"

"Where is my sister? I'm asking you one last time. If you tell me the truth, I will let you go alive," he inhaled deeply. "Or I'll slit your throat."

Nandani eventually realised that something was amiss. He didn't seem to be in his right state of mind. She paused for a moment before responding smartly, "You're talking about Alizey Malhotra, your sister, right?"

Manik merrily nodded. "Yes...Yes...Where she is?"

"She's in the lawn. Come on, I'll take you to her."

Manik bobbed his head as he followed her. She descended the stairs and unlocked the front door. "Go to the backside; you'll find her there."

With a swift motion, she shut the door, as soon as he left. She closed every window, and hurriedly drew the curtains.

"You traitor, open this fucking door. Where is my Alizey?" Manik pounded at the door.

"Oh, my God! He'll slam the door open," she muttered to herself. Her heart raced as she ascended the staircase. She locked herself in the room. With trembling hands, she reached for her phone and dialed Aryaman's number.

"Doctor, I need your help. Lucifer has  broken into my home. He will harm me," she cried, her voice filled with panic.

"Open this fucking door. Where is my sister!" Manik's voice reverberated.

"Calm down, Nandani. I'll be there in a few minutes with the cops. Stay safe," Aryaman assured, before ending the call.

Nandani, consumed by terror, hid under the bed. Manik continued pounding at the door. Eventually, the latch broke. The devil entered the room, as the door swung open.
