Uh oh part 1

Dixie's pov

Right after the boys left with the kids

⚠️⚠️mild trigger warning foul language and discussion of abuse, self harm, and suicide⚠️⚠️

Charli and I wait on the stairs until the boys are out of earshot of yelling.

"Ok so what the hell happened" Mia looks mad

"I would like to ask Thomas that same question" Charli glares right at him. He looks a little pissed, does he even realize he fucked up. "Thomas would you like to say what happened or should I"

"I didn't do anything wrong" he huffs. Everyone is watching, so of course he isn't going to admit it.

"Yah I agree slapping your daughter who has been abused before definitely means you did nothing wrong" I roll my eyes at his sheer stupidity. I hear a glass break and see that Kouvr dropped her mug, she looks mad. So does everyone else.

"YOU DID WHAT!!" Avani yells "YOU HIT THE GIRL WHO WAS HAVING SUICIDAL THOUGHTS NOT EVEN A MONTH AGO."

"SHE WAS BEING A DISRESPECTFUL BRAT AND NEEDED TO SHUT UP" he yelled back

"YOU THINK THAT JUSTIFIES IT, SHE'S A LITTLE KID" Charli screeched

"You know that's child abuse right, which is a federal offence" Addison say still looking shaken up

"Don't tell us how to raise our daughter" Mia scowls at Charli and I

"I think they are fully in the right here because Chloe is 9 and you can't just go around hitting your kids because they misbehave. That how you end up with kids who end up hanging out with the wrong people" Michael chimes in

"Shut up Michael" Mia hisses

"Yes mam" he slinks off behind Calvin and Patrick

"YOU GUYS ARE MAKING A BIGGER DEAL OUT OF THIS THEN IT IS, I DIDN'T EVEN HIT HER THAT HARD" Thomas screeched

"REALLY WOULD YOU LIKE SAY THAT AGAIN BECAUSE WE FOUND A BRUISE ON HER FACE NOT EVEN AND HOUR AFTER IT HAPPENED, ONLY BAD ONE SHOW UP THAT FAST!" Charli screams

"YOU GUYS ARE BEING SO DRAMATIC" Mia huffs

"They really aren't," Calvin said. "Chloe has been through shit in life, and certainly does not need it from us."

"I have a question, why did you guys come from outside with Chloe." Bryce asked

I exchange a glance with Charli, and we silently agreed I would tell them "because Charli and chase found her outside cutting herself"

"WHAT!!!!!!" everyone yelled standing there in shock

"Yah I saw her outside running down the hill and I got a glimpse of the knife. By the time I got to her she had already done it." Charli explains

"Where's the knife?" Mia asked

"In my room Chase washed it while I was rebandaging the cuts, they are pretty bad and there's a good chance they will scar." she looked at her feet "she also said she would do it again because she liked the pain"

Everyone looked stunned "why would she do that" Mia is looking at her feet

"Because she's upset. You guys are always punishing her when she doesn't do anything, she feels betrayed and wants it to end." I say

"AND YOU DIDN'T THINK TO TELL US RIGHT AWAY" Thomas yells

"SORRY THAT I WAS TO BUSY DEALING WITH HER SOBBING HER EYES OUT BECAUSE SHE THINKS YOU DON'T LOVE HER ANYMORE" Charli yelled back

"Of course we love her" Mia is in tears

"THEN WHY IS IT SHE IS ALWAYS SECOND TO QUINN" I shout "BEFORE SHE STARTED TALKING ABOUT SUCSIDE IT WAS ALWAYS QUINN FIRST."

"BECAUSE SHE YOUNGER SHE NEEDS MORE ATTENTION" Thomas shouts back

"SHE MAY BE YOUNGER BUT CHLOE IS 9 SHE STILL NEEDS YOU, IT ALMOST SEEMS THE HOUSE WAS RAISING HER THESE PAST FEW MONTHS BECAUSE YOU WERE TO BUSY WITH QUINN" Charli shouts

"You know that have a point" Bryce shrugs "you guys were all over her for the first few weeks she was home, then seemed to forget about her until she said she wanted to die"

"I have to agree with Bryce, I remember this one time specifically that I heard crying coming from the girls room and found Chloe in there shaking and crying because she was scared." Avani sighs "I sat with her for 20 minutes and you guys didn't even notice when you came in to tell her it was time for dinner." everyone nodded in agreement

"Ok sorry we're not perfect but we're trying" Mia snapped

"Well not hard enough you spend %100 of your spare time with Quinn, she doesn't need you all the time. She is never going to learn to be independent if you do everything for her, she needs to do some stuff herself." I huff

"Your really trying to tell us how to parent our kids, how is how we raise them any of your business " Mia looks me dead in the eyes

"Actually I am sorta telling you how to raise them, not because you're bad parents but because your daughter is in distress and you guys didn't even spend enough time with her to figure it out." I give her the death stare right back

We argued for a little while longer but it's getting late and the kids can't stay out forever so we had to table the conversation. I was really worried for Chloe though, I knew Thomas and Mia were mad and they most certainly were not going to be happy with her. I texted the boys to bring the kids back and they said they would be there shortly. Apparently sage had a little accident but was ok, just a scraped knee. The kids felt the tension in the room as soon as they walked in, it was all over their faces.

"Mommy" Quinn ran over to Thomas and Mia but I noticed Chloe walked right by them and sat with Calvin on the bean bag.

"Hi baby" she gives Quinn a big hug then puts her down "I need you to stay here while dad and I go have a talk with Chloe."

"Can I come?" she gives Mia puppy dog eyes

"Sorry baby but you really can't" Thomas gives her a kiss on the head and grabs Chloe's arm pulling her down the hallway. I exchange a nervous glance with the other adults, but we know there's much we can do.
