Chapter 29: Textmate

"Aea, pinapatawag ka ni Sir sa office" Kate said the next day,

My heart immediately race, damn it!

Mabigat ang bawat hakbang ko papuntang office, i slowly turned the doorknob at sumilip bago pumasok ng tuluyan,

As expected, his eyes were bloodshot and deep, his hands are intertwined together. I know for sure he's angry

"Take a seat" he said coldly,

"Good afternoon" i greeted silently, his office is so quiet hindi naririnig ang ingay sa Cafè at tanging tunog lang ng aircon at ng orasan ang naririnig

"Do you think my afternoon is good after i saw your letter?" He said sarcastically kaya ngumuso ako "What's this letter all about? Huh?" He asked sabay pakita sa resignation letter na iniwan ko sa mesa nya bago pa sya dumating

"It's a resignation letter" i answered kahit alam kong alam nya na yun

"And? Why are you resigning?" The frustration in his face is evident, he's trying to stay calm

"Because i want to, at isa pa. I want to find another job na malapit sa school ko" i said,

"Next next month pa ang pasok mo hindi ba?" I slowly nodded, he's like a Dad scolding his daughter calmly "Then give me this letter 3 days before your school"

"Ka–Sir..." i called, "I want to resign. You can't force me to stay"

"No. Your reason isn't valid." Hindi ako sumagot, "it's because i kissed you, isn't it?" He asked, straightforward

Agad akong napatingin sa pintuan kahit nakasara ito ay baka may dumaan at nakarinig,

"N-no! Ofcourse not" i said, stuttering! Shit!

Kagabi, pagkatapos nya akong halikan ay agad akong tumakbo pasakay sa jeep nang walang paalam sakanya, dumiretso sa apartment at humiga at tumulala sa kisame

Why, did he kissed me?! Fuck it!

Does he like me? No way. Who would like me? I'm just a broke and a chaotic ass existing and doesn't even know a thing about life!

Then why did he kiss me if he doesn't like me? May ganyan naman diba? Some people kissed people just because they want to or they're bored, right?

Whatever! Gusto nya man ako o hindi, baka ako pa ang magkagusto sakanya kung magtagal ako sa AYM Cafè! I don't want to see him everyday! I might lose myself again at malimutan ko ang dahilan kung bakit ako nasa Manila: it's to study, to graduate, to make my siblings and myself proud, and to prove myself to the world, to Mom and Dad.

Bumangon ako at umupo sa sahig at nagsulat ng resignation letter sa isang bond paper, it's better to left than to regret later on

Hindi ko alam kung saan ako pupulutin pagkaalis ko ng AYM Cafè pero bahala na!

"May ma pag ta-trabahuan ka na ba pag-umalis ka dito?" Kai asked,

"W-wala pa...but I'll find one! I'm sure I can find one!"

He didn't answer and just stared at me for a while,

Tumikhim ako kaya nakuha ko ang atensyon nya ulit dahil parang ang lalim ng iniisip nya kahit nakatingin sya sa'kin, "So, do you accept my resignation letter now? Kahit hindi, you can't do anything alright?"
