Jahseh and I walk into class late

"Jaya, Jahseh this lateness has got to stop" mrs smith says

I roll my eyes and lay my head on the desk

I get up and grab my bag walking out of class

I reach into my hoodie pocket grabbing out Jahseh's keys, there was no way I was going home early by choice

The door unlocks, I walk in and I'm startled by Jah's mom sitting in the kitchen by the table

"Oh hi Jaya, what are you doing here?" She asks

"Oh I got sent home early and didn't want to go home you know...period pains" I lie

I know I lie a lot but it's the only way I can keep everyone happy without being looked down on

"Okay" she replies "come have a seat" she pulls out a chair

I feel like I'm in trouble

"Did you have a good vacation?" I ask trying to break the awkwardness

"Yeah it was nice thanks" she says before I sit down

"Now what's going on with you and Jahseh?" Her eyebrow raises

Nows the time where I can lie or just tell the truth

"And tell me the truth" she adds staring me down

"For how long?" She asks not looking shocked at all

Cleo's eyes widen

"So since you was both 14??" She questions and I just nod

After talking with cleo I made my way up to Jahsehs room.

I kicked my shoes off, put on something comfier to wear from his closet and laid on the bed
