"I got a ticket for prom" stokely laughs as he starts the engine

I asked him to drop me home since me and Jahseh clearly aren't speaking to each other.

"How the hell did you get that?" I laugh in disbelief

"Oh some jit sold it to me...anyways what's up with you and Jahseh why yall not speaking?" He asks and I sigh

"I just want to be in a relationship with him, but clearly he doesn't want that he just wants to fuck" I mumble

"Jaya you know he's scared of hurting you, or you hurting him" ski says

"I know but I'm not going to hurt him, I love him a lot, it just sounds like an excuse to me" I say looking down at my phone

✨Two weeks later - Jahseh✨

I lay in bed staring at the ceiling, I miss Jaya so much that I can barely even function

Usually I'd just be able to go over there but now her dads home and we're not even speaking to each other right now so I can't FaceTime her either

Today's the day of the prom and I wonder if she's going to go, I doubt it though, Jaya hates going to places with a lot of people

My mom opens my bedroom door "Jahseh get up, you been in bed doing nothing all week!" She says

"Get up and do what? It's a Saturday" I say

" I don't know find something to do!" She says before closing my bedroom door

I sat up looking straight out my window into Jaya's window

Every time I've seen her through the window she just looks like she's getting worse and worse, There's more cuts over her legs and she just looks drained

I sigh looking away

My thoughts were interrupted by ski calling me

"You good vro?" He asks

"Yea I'm ok" I mumble back

"You still depressed about Jaya" he laughs

"I'm not depressed" I mutter back

"Yeah whatever, anyway you tryna go to that prom?" He asks

"Nah that's boring as fuck" I sigh

"It won't be boring if we get high before it, just come, you been sitting at home all week...and you never know, Jaya might end up going too"

"I doubt she'll go but okay whatever I'll go" I mumble

"Okay, I'll be at yours by 9pm make sure you ready"

"Ight bet" I say before hanging up

" Jaya someone's here for you" my mom says opening my door

Deep down I was hoping that it was Jahseh but billie walks in

"Hey billie" I mumble looking down, closing my bedroom door after her

Since I wasn't expecting anyone over I was just in shorts and a hoodie

Her eyes scan my body especially my legs and then she looks up at me

"All of this because you miss Jahseh?" She asks and I just shake my head

"It's a long story and I don't want to explain it" I mumble and she nods

"Wanna go to prom together? I got a ticket" she smiles making me smile a little

"I don't think I'm going to go....a lot of people are going to be there" I mumble
