Chapter 16

I immediately went to the cell when the fight was over. I saw Coulson. He is bleeding out badly. 

"Sorry Boss, the God ran with it"

"Just stay awake. Eyes. On. Me." I ordered

"Ugh, I'm clocking out here," He said weakly 

"That's not an option," I told him sternly 

"It's okay boss," He told me "It was never going to work unless they have something to fight for"

I stared at him sad inside though I never expressed it. 

"Tell Mr. Smith that...I understand now...I..." His eyes glazed over and that's when I knew he was dead. I felt like crying seeing him die in front of me but I must stay strong and emotionless, I can't break now.

BOOOM

As soon as the explosion happened, I immediately pressed on my comms. "R4, come and pick us up"

"Beep Boop Vrooo" I heard from the comms

"Just get over here R4," I told him

It didn't take long for the starfighter to fly right under. I grabbed Annabeth and we jumped off into the starfighter, a Delta-7 Aethersprite complete with a hyperdrive and its own small energy shield

I jumped into the open cockpit and had Annabeth sit on my lap as I steered the starship. 

After a few gunshots and more explosions, I finally saw the carrier fly straight. It didn't take long to see Tony flying towards Manhattan in his suit. 

"This is Starharvester, I am escorting Tin Man to his junkyard" I joked as I hacked into his comms

"Alan?" Tony asked, clearly shocked

"And me too" Annabeth cried out 

"Annabeth? Where are you?" Tony asked with worry

"On your left, Tin Man," I said as I flew by him 

"Shit" I heard Tony say

"Language Tony, Annabeth is here" I shouted

"Shitz," Annabeth said

"Now now Annabeth, that word is only for Tony to use, we use Kriff" I winked at her

"Kriff!" Annabeth shouted

"There we go" I grinned "Let me teach you how to fly this baby" 

"ExCuSe Me?" Tony Shouted "What does Kriff even mean? What do you mean Annabeth is flying?"

"Anakin Skywalker flew a starfighter into a battlefield at the age of 8, I don't see a problem," I told him

"WHAT? Who the hell is Anakin Skywalker? You know what? I'm not going to even, we're so going to have a talk afterward" Tony grumbled

"Yeah, yeah, just don't die Tin Man," I told him "If you die, who is going to be Tin Man?"

"It's Iron Man" Tony growled "Iron Man. Not your stupid Tin Man"

"Tin Man" Annabeth shouted and stuck her tongue out at me 

We heard Tony grumble about something as we reached his Tower

"Alright Tin Man, this is as far as I can go, good luck Starharvester out" 

And so, I spent the next few minutes teaching Annabeth how to fly the starship, which in fact was pretty easy.
