"Kyunki Nandini pregnant hai na" Nani says excitedly, everyone widens their eyes
"WHAT!" Both manik and Nandini shout in unison and look at each other then nani.
"Tum log chila kyu rahe ho?" Nani looks at them shocked
"Kyunki Nani Nandini pregnant nahi hai" manik tells her, nani furrows her eyebrows
"Manik... usse pregnancy wake symptoms aa rahe hai aur Tum keh rahe ho ki Woh pregnant nahi hai" Nani defends
"Nani mein pregnant nahi hu" Nandini tells her, the family members knew the relation between Nandini and manik so they didn't take nani's side.
"Haan mummy ji... Nandini genuinely bimaar hai I think we should just call the doctor" viraj interrupts
"You're right dad... mein abhi doctor ko call karta hu" abhimanyu says and goes outside the room to call the doctor.
Nandini felt awkward as the whole pregnancy talks raised, manik looked down the whole time.
After some time the doctor arrived, abhimayu brings her in. She goes over to Nandini and checks her heartbeat and everything.
"Uhm tell me Mrs Malhotra.. kal aapne Kya khaya tha?" The doctor asks.
Nandini looks at manik then the doctor "uhm just noodles office ke canteen se"
"Okayyy" she says and trails away.
"Actually Mrs Malhotra ko food poisoning hui hai and if I'm not wrong shayad yeh noodles ki wajah se Kuch" the doctor continues
"Lekin aise kaise ho sakta hai noodles toh maine bhi khaye the toh sirf Nandini kaise bimaar hui" manik was confused, Nandini looks at him and wonders that too.
"I'm not sure.... Lekin mein Kuch dawai likh ke de rahi hu make you sure aap time pe le and thode din khaane mein khaas khayal rakhna hai theek hai" the doctor smiles, Nandini nods.
Manik looks away thinking about the whole food poisoning thing which didn't make sense to him as he also had noodles but nothing happened to him.
The doctor hands the paper with prescribed medicine. She takes a leave.
"Mein doctor ko bahar chodhkar hi office ke liye nikal jaata hu... Nandini take care okay" abhimayu says, Nandini smiles nodding.
Abhimayu and the doctor leave.
"Sorry beta mujhe nahi Pata tha... aur maine yeh sab pregnancy ka Bol diya" Nani apologises to Nandini.
"Areh Nani aap kyu sorry bol rahi ho.. aapke jagah aur koi bhi hota yeh ho sochta" Nandini smiles at her
"Anyways mein tumhare liye khichdi bana deti hu.. doctor ne bola hai na khaane pe dhyaan dena hai so Ab se mein strict baungi" Nani says out of care
"Okay nani" Nandini chuckles
"Mein help karti hu aapki nani" mukti says, both of them leave to the kitchen.
Viraj looks over to manik "manik uhm I was saying ki Tum Nandini ke paas—"
"Don't worry dad mein Nandini ki paas hi hu... I already told them I'm not coming today manager sab handle kar lega" manik tells him proudly, viraj was surprised to see him like that but he was also happy
"Theek hai good" viraj nods and looks at Nandini "take care beta"
Viraj leaves too leaving Nandini and manik in the room alone.
"That was so awkward... Pata nahi Nani ko kyu lagta hai ki Tum pregnant ho" manik sighs and sits down next to her
"Hai na but isme Nani ki koi galati nahi hai they are most excited aisi cheezon ko le kar" Nandini smiles
