Love Grows by Edison Lighthouse

She ain't got no money
Her clothes are kinda funny
Her hair is kinda wild and free
Oh, but Love grows where my Rosemary goes
And nobody knows like me
She talks kinda lazy
And people say she she's crazy
And her life's a mystery
Oh, but Love grows where my Rosemary goes
And nobody knows like me
There's something about her hand holding mine
It's a feeling that's fine
And I just gotta say
She's really got a magical spell
And it's working so well
That I can't get away
I'm a lucky fella
And I've just got to tell her
That I love her endlessly
Because Love grows where my Rosemary goes
And nobody knows like me
There's something about her hand holding mine
It's a feeling that's fine
And I just gotta say
She's really got a magical spell
And it's working so well
That I can't get away
I'm a lucky fella
And I've just got to tell her
That I love her endlessly
Because Love grows where my Rosemary goes
And nobody knows like me
It keeps growing every place she's been
And nobody knows like me
If you've met her, you'll never forget her
And nobody knows like me
La la la- believe it when you've seen it
Nobody knows like me

Noah's POV

Elle and I have been together for a little over a month and it has been a whirlwind. We had known each other forever and I always thought of her like a sister, until, all of a sudden, I didn't anymore. When I started telling guys to stay away from her I told myself it was out of brotherly concern and not the pang of jealousy I felt when I saw her with other guys, flirting and laughing. Elle was beautiful, there was no mistake about that, but she was also smart and funny, kind but assertive, and she definitely wasn't going to take shit from anyone. It wasn't until I kissed her that night that I really started to entertain the thought of us being something more than just friends via the circumstance of our families being friends. That was the night I finally admitted to myself that I was falling for her, and had been for quite some time.

Now we were sneaking around together, stealing kisses when no one else was around, sneaking off to meet when Lee was busy with Rachel. Elle had insisted on keeping us a secret, at least for now and I wasn't going to argue so long as that was what it took to be with her. I've never felt more free than I do when I'm with her. We talk about everything together and I finally feel like I have someone to share my life with. I never thought I was a relationship type of guy and all the random girls I kissed at parties just reinforced that. They were all beautiful, but I never felt anything more than a passing physical attraction to any of them. That's why my world was totally shaken when I felt something so different for Elle. Of course the physical attraction was there, but there was an emotional connection, a friendship and spark that I knew wasn't going anywhere.

That brings me to Saturday. My parents were out of town on some business trip and Lee was off with Rachel somewhere. Mr. Evan's and Brad were out of town visiting family, but Elle had found an excuse to stay home so that we could take advantage of not having to hide from our respective  families. We were going to the pier and I was picking her up in my car because there were a few things I had to fix on my bike. When Elle climbed into the passenger seat the first thing she did was turn on her music. She always insisted that she got to DJ because she had, "better taste in music". I didn't mind, she did actually have pretty decent tunes. We were about to pull out of the driveway when a song came on that I didn't recognize. I grabbed her phone from the middle console to see what it was called and when Elle realized what I was doing she lunged for her phone and snatched it out of my hands, but not before I caught a glimpse of the name of the playlist she was playing.
