Chapter Thirty

Gasps are heard around the room as he tries not to show his pain.

"A—are you sure?" Hoseok asks as his hand covered his mouth

Yoongi slaps Hoseok in the back of his head and scoffs, "Why the fuck would you ask him that??"

"What? What were you going to ask?" Hoseok bickers

"I don't know, how about, 'Are you okay?'" Yoongi smacks the back of his head again

"Yoongi if you hit me again, I am taking you to jail," Hoseok says sternly

"Will you two shut the hell up!" Namjoon says

"Kook are you okay?" asks Jimin as he and Taehyung come to stand near Jungkook and rub his shoulders

"I've had a week to mourn, I'm fine. Now I just want to kill my father," he says

"Only a week?" Jin asks worriedly

"People mourn differently," Taehyung says almost as a refelx

"Are we ignoring that he wants to kill his father? You guys, I'm literally chief of police." Hoseok says, shocked

"You wouldn't tell on your dear old friend,'" Yoongi says with a wide smile

"Guys---"

"He killed his mother--" Jin tries to say

"So hand me over the evidence and I'll make a case--"

"Are you forgetting how powerful the Jeon's are?" Namjoon asks

"Not you too, Namjoon," Hoseok says

"Please, you all are thinking irrationally--"

"Hosoek," Taehyung starts, "If he killed his own wife, think of what he'd do to Sera...To our children."

"He wouldn't hurt the--" Hoseok stares at his friend's deadpanned faces as they stare back at him.

Before he can speak, all of their phones, minus Jungkook's, begin to ring.

They all glance awkwardly at their phones.

"Who's calling?" the six ask each other as they glance around at each other.

"My mom," Jimin says

My dad?" Yoongi wonders

"My mom," Hoseok says

"I'll go ahead and assume it's all of our parents," Namjoon says

"Yet why isn't Jungsu calling Jungkook?" Jin queries

"Let's just see what they want?" Taehyung says as he answers, "Hello?"

The others answer their calls, all going into different rooms, leaving Taehyung and Jungkook in the living room. Jungkook motions for Taehyung to put it on speaker so he does.

"Taehyung-ah! Why don't you ever call your mother?!" Taehyung rolls his eyes at the normalcy of the call.

"Namjoon-ah, where is she?"

Namjoon's heart stops. Why? See, while Namjoon was so keen on unveiling everyone's secrets, he forgot about his own. He forgot about the fact he is among the only one of the seven who knows the dealings that his parents are involved in.
