TRIGGER WARNING⚠︎: SELF HARM
Saywer's POV:
"It's you. You saved me," I spoke out loud, not meaning to. My hand cupped his jaw perfectly, but I wish it didn't.
The second I said those words, his eyes went wide and his jaw clenched. I immediately moved my hand downward, and he moved from above me. We both stood up swiftly, clearing our throats.
That's when I noticed the small crowd in front of us, and the even smaller one a bit ways away.
I was suddenly hugged by Emma, her hands warming me up in an instant. I was cold and soaked.
When she pulled back she looked me in the eyes, "I thought we lost you for a second, thank god you're alive!"
Miss Peregrine moved Emma aside as she looked at me and Enoch with a serious look. He hung his head, most likely in shame. I just looked at her with an innocent look.
"First off, running away is dangerous, obviously, and secondly, what were you two thinking about coming to the ocean? Sawyer, I know you're new, but Enoch you know how dangerous it is. I expect more from you" Miss P said with a stern expression and her hands on her hips.
"I know Miss Peregrine, I'm Sorry," Enoch said as he looked up to make eye contact with the Headmistress.
"Now children, let's go home," She spoke loudly enough for both groups to hear. Everyone nodded.
Once she started walking, all the little kids who had been pulled away from the situation ran over and hugged me tightly. I hugged them back, for once feeling like I belong.

When we got back to the large Victorian-style house, I walked upstairs. I grabbed a towel with the help of Miss. P and changed into some dry clothes.
By the time I walked back downstairs, it was dark and everyone was by the door.
"Why are you all standing there?" I asked, playing with the sleeves of my black hoodie.
"We're going to watch the rest. Would you like to join us?" Miss Peregrine smiled as she spoke. I nodded my head in response and walked up to them. Emma handed me a gas mask and put one on herself. I was confused, I followed in pursuit.
Everyone walked outside and stood in the middle of a grass field, as the rain starts to fall from the cloud-ridden sky.
Miss Peregrine started playing a creepy song. Run Rabbit Run.
Overhead, German planes flew across the sky, the loud sound of their engines prominent in my ears.
Everyone watched so calmly as one big jet flew right over the house, releasing a bomb from the bottom compartment.
I watched in horror as the bomb fell towards the house. I grabbed onto the closest thing to me in fear. It felt like everything was going in slow motion.
Then, it stopped. The rain, the bomb, the wind. It all stopped, even the music. Everyone else watched emotionless, but I guess after seeing this for so many years it makes sense.
Suddenly everything started to move back in time. I looked to Miss Peregrine, who was winding back her stopwatch as the bomb was lifted, the music played back, and night turned to day and back again tonight.
“Well then children, off to bed,” Miss Peregrine spoke as she whipped around to face us. Everyone started walking while taking their gas mask off. I looked to see what, or should I say who I grabbed.
