You were currently training with Legolas where he was teaching you to how to correctly hold a bow and arrow. You had tried countless times over the past couple hundred years but you had never seemed to master it. You only hope you could one day be half as good as Legolas was, but that was probably stretching it.

"It's an improvement." Legolas says at a distance as he watches you release an arrow, slightly amused. "Agórel vae."

You tilt your head at him and smile. "You know you don't have to lie to make me feel better."

Legolas grins at you. "I'm telling you the truth."

You roll your eyes and smile fondly at him. "Sure you are."

After a minute in silence, of you trying to line up your arrow, you suddenly hear laughter beside you. You had completely missed the target. Your face instantly reddens and you shy away from him. "Shut up." You mumble, trying to hold back laughter.

"Come on, (y/n), you almost had it this time." He says, still laughing.

You look at him, chuckling. "I'll keep on missing if it means you'll continue to laugh like that."

Legolas doesn't say anything, only raises a brow.

"It's only that you always seem to be so serious all the time around the palace. Gellon ned i gelir i chent gîn ned i lelig."

Legolas' smile fades slightly as he gazes at you questioningly. "Are mín speaking sui friends?"

You stay still, suddenly feeling exposed. You were planning to tell him how you felt for so long, but somehow you find that you're completely unprepared when you look into his eyes.

You gulp before responding. "Legolas, I..."

Legolas steps closer to you. "What are you trying to say?"

You stare at the ground, nervously fiddling with your feet. With a deep breath, you meet his gaze sheepishly. Something seems to click within Legolas because he lets out a little gasp and takes a step away.

"You have feelings for me..."  He says in realisation.

"Yes." You reply shyly.

Legolas only sighs in response. "(Y/n), you know I can't..."

Your eyes dart up as his hand reaches to rub his face tiredly, as if replying to you were a chore for him. You felt anger pulsing in you.

"Can't what... Legolas?" You ask through gritted teeth.

Legolas looks at you sheepishly. "After Tauriel... I just can't love another."

"Can't?" You question. "Or won't?"

Legolas frowns and closes his mouth, not saying anything.

You sigh and turn to walk away, dropping the bow in defeat. "It's ok, I wouldn't choose me either."

"Wait." Legolas calls, jogging towards you. "I..."

You turn to him and frown. "Legolas you don't have to say anything. If you say you are not ready, I will not pressure you. Just don't say you don't have feelings for me."

You huff at Legolas' dumbfounded expression.

"Don't act like you don't know the way you look at me."

Legolas sighs and looks down. After a moment, he breaks the silence in a hushed voice. "You're right, I'm sorry."

Your eyes widen in surprise. Knowing something and getting confirmation of that something was entirely different. "You... you do... feel for me?"

He looks up and walks closer to you. "Yes. I tried to ignore it, I really did. But I can ignore it no longer." You look as his hands reach for yours, grasping them firmly. "I was just so scared, anin gell nîn, goheno nin."

You smile gently at him before stepping into him. "Of course I forgive you. Gi melin."

Legolas returns your smile and kisses you gently. "Gi melin."
