"I care"

Irene all of a sudden went stiff. She blinked repeatedly, not knowing what to say. The Stillness was garish. Until..

"Uhh- there, all done"
Sunghoon cut the silence off and lumbered, getting back to work. The two man in suit also left with the things they had used earlier.

Irene was left sitting frozen on the couch. She let a breath out and glinted, baffled.

"Ehem.. go back to work now"
The flustered girl gazed at him and nodded Contentiously.

"What happened now? He's caring and affectionate before" Irene giggled at the thought.

"At least he dealt with my hand"
She murmured while chuckling.

"Hey, are you talking to yourself? Concentrate"
Sunghoon looked over his laptop to find her grinning helplessly. "Tsk"

Dismissal of Work

"4:57.."
Irene murmured, eyeing her watch.

"If you're worrying about the time Acquittal. You better not, because I'm going drive you home"
Sunghoon's low voice was heard, as Irene's attention was now on him.

"What was that, Sir?"
Irene leaned her head forward in confusion.

"Don't get me wrong, I'm going to inquire verification from your Father. I'll just call someone to pick up your car. "
Sunghoon revised.

"Oh okay, Sir"
Irene nodded in response.

"Stop calling me that"
He argued with an indignant face.

"Pardon?"
Irene polled, showing a peering manner.

"Just call me Sunghoon when we're alone, got it?"
Irene just nodded, not wanting to ask more further questions.

───────────

Sunghoon drove his car patiently. The ride was hushed and awkward. Irene didn't bother to take a single glance at the other. But moreover, she couldn't resist watching the sunset outside. She stared at it with gleaming eyes.

"Quiet are we?"
Sunghoon's words compressed the cessation.

Irene didn't say anything but in her mind, she wanted to go home and rest.

"Never knew working could be this hard"
She whispered but too loud enough for Sunghoon to hear.

"Working is hard but handling a Company is tough, it's different. but I'll admit, it's good when you're working on something"

"You're just like my Dad"
She said, familiarizing the statements her father have told her the other day.

"Really?"
Sunghoon raised an eyebrow, his gloomy eyes was directed at the road.

"Yes. My father also said that, if I get a job, he'll send me to New York with my Mom to work there"

"Then that's a perfect timing"
Sunghoon grinned slightly and pulled off.

"We're here now"

Irene licked her lips and slid her hand down to take off her seatbelt. She pressed the sides of it but it didn't open. Is it because of her hand?

"Shoot.."

She silently tried to fix the situation, not until Sunghoon caught sight of it.

"What's wrong? Do you need any help?"
He asked bringing up a hand for approval.

"N-no it's..."
She continued to press it more harder but failed.

"I got this"
Sunghoon assured. He leaned closer, still on his seat. Their cheeks were brushed together due to the startling intimacy, sending shivers down the girl's spine as her face reddened.

"I-..."
Irene attempted to say something but she was too troubled, including their position right now.

After some time, Irene heard a clicking sound, she exhaled the breath she held and thanked Sunghoon.

She ran towards their front door as fast as she can, Embarrassed.

"I would like to Clarify the agreement for your Daughter's excursion for the Business event in New York tomorrow. Would you like to uphold it?"
Sunghoon formally requested.

"Yes, please. I already told her that she can do whatever she wants to. She's in her right period to do so... But!"
Sunghoon nodded, a sign for Mr. Park to continue his conditions.

"My daughter needs to have your appropriate care and security. Make sure she maintains her temporary habit. She had already been to New York several times but I still need assurance for my Daughter's stand"

"Understood, Mr. Park"
Sunghoon bowed politely and smirked.
