Chapter 17-truth

(I recommend I bet on loosing dogs on this chapter)

Here i am, standing in-front of the small apartment door I left in panic.. I'm standing here since a while now- I just can't get the encouragement together to knock... it's weird, especially without exactly knowing what happened.
Just do it (Y/n)! It's only for this night.

With hesitation I eventually knock, it didn't even take a few seconds and he opens the door.
'Did he wait or smth..'
I look up to him,
'Woah he got tall-'
"You're back!"
He smiles at me welcoming and gives me space to enter,
'you can do it!'
I quickly enter without looking back.

This apartment is smaller than I thought.. it's almost like a hotel room.. And that's where we've been living? Thats kinda sad.. in a better future I want to live with Mikey and have a family..
At my fantasy with Mikey I can't help but helplessly blush, I really want it to work out.. but first I need to overcome this obstacle!

"Soo-"
I awkwardly say not knowing what to do,
He looks at me and I can see that he's still kinda confused by my sudden weird acting.. can't blame him tho
"Are you Sick or anything?"
He says worried and puts his hand on my forehead,
"YEs-!"
I immediately jump back and fall on the bed, I quickly sit up and I can feel my cheeks turning red due to embarrassment,
'Can this get any more awkward-'

Chifuyu just stares at me for a few seconds and sighs out,
"You still love him."
After saying that he looks at me and his eyes are filled with sad endurance which he tries to cover with a forced smile,
"Him?..."
I repeat questioning,
He slowly walks behind me and sits down on the other bed side making us sit back to back,
"Mikey."
He answers,
"I-"
I let out surprised, what am I supposed to say?
Suddenly chifuyu grabs my shoulder and gently turns me around, our noses almost touch and I can clearly see his fragile blue eyes.
"Don't lie to me (Y/n)."
His eyes look right trough me,
I sigh and look down breaking the touch.
He leans back and we have a small distance again.

"I'm sorry chifuyu..."
I try apologizing,
He lays down next to me on the bed and I look down at him,
"It's obvious.. it's been obvious this whole time."
With his arms crossed behind his head he looks at the ceiling, his words are filled with an understanding.

I lay down next to him and join him staring at the ceiling, there's a cheap lamp attached, it looks like it is about to fall down.. scary.

We lay in silence, but not an awkward silence. The atmosphere has cooled down and is comfortable.
Almost like two old friends just hanging out, forgetting about the whole trouble outside our small bubble.

"I wonder how things ended like this"
I mumble, he starts laughing and I look at him surprised,
"Did you loose your memories?"
He laughs out,
'Well yes I did'
I start laughing too,
"Maybe"
I reply giggling.
He turns to the side and looks at me, I turn my head into his direction, he's right infront of me now,
'Wha-'
I gasp startled.
He looks into my eyes and stops smiling,
"You were always special to me.. even back then."
He whisper into my face,
'Wait what? Where is this suddenly coming from weren't we just laughing at my stupidity?? And what does he mean with "back then" did he always like me...'

He leans closer to my face,
"Chifuyu.. I love Mikey."
I respond rejecting his love,
"I know."
His voice is so calm and understanding, it's making me want to cry.

He leans back and Without saying another word I turn around making him face my back.
"Goodnight chifuyu"
Were the only words I had left to say, I can hear him turning around too,
"Goodnight (Y/n)"
He replies.
I turn the small bed lamp off which flickers a few times before finally turning off.
