Aether waited outside patiently for y/n to come out of the domain. And soon they did. Walking out as they put their claymore away and over to aether. "Here, sorry it took longer," Y/n explained.

Aether shook his head and smiled. "No no. It's okay. Let's go!" He said. As he put his hand out. Y/n stared at it surprised. Unsure of what he wanted. And so they took ahold of it. Holding it in their warm hands.

Aethers cheeks flushed red. "I-i was offering to bring anything heavy" he whispered. Y/ns cheeks reddened. "O-Oh! I can let go." They said as they were about to let go. But aether held onto their hand. "I didn't say I didn't like it." He mumbled. Looking away. His ears pink

Y/ns face flushed red under their mask at the sudden confidence of their companions and couldn't help but laugh.

Aethers cheeks reddened more. "S-stop laughing! Cmon!-" he said as he lead the way but y/n couldn't help but laugh more at his reaction. And with that. The sky cleared up. The beautiful blue came back as the sun brightly shone just like it did previously. Both the duo stopping their tracks and stared up longingly at the sight.

"Huh. Who would have thought you would miss the sky so much as this" y/n mumbled. Aether chuckled but nodded agreeing with their words as his hand tightened around y/ns.

"Come on. Let's go back to Monstad" y/n said looking at the pinked face aether smiling. Aether also nodded smiling, his hand holding theirs as the two walked in the direction of the city of freedom.

Not noticing kaeya and diluc who had just left the domain and had seen the two holding hands. Both having a slightly bitter feeling.

Neither could understand why. And both of them couldn't explain it. But the brothers kept silent and sighed trying hard to not think about what they had seen and gone off to their own ways. Kaeya and diluc not bothering to say a final goodbye.

As aether and y/n walked once they reached they headed to Knights of favounious. They intended to report to Jean to inform her that they had finished helping to clear all of the domains. But instead. They saw Jean and a fatui diplomat arguing.

And Jean, a woman who was always composed looked like she was about to snap. Yet the diplomat did not stop with their words. Their words were loud enough for y/n and aether to overhear.

paimon raised a brow. "isn't that Jean? who is she talking to?" she asked as she peered over ahead of the trio, Y/n spoke up. "that's a fatui diplomat...  they're most likely talking about the problem of storm terror" y/n explained. aether nodded agreeing with their reasoning as they listened in

"If you do not do something about storm terror. You should leave this to fatui! We will take down that monster and secure Monstads safety ourselves!" The fatui argued.

Jean was now beyond agitated. "Monster?! How dare you! You're talking about one of the four winds! I was expecting more of a professional attitude from you diplomats." She said. Jean looked as if she was holding herself back from grabbing her weapon. but she placed her hands in a cross. "Yet here you are saying you want to put an end to one of the four winds of monstad?!
