"Admiral! Our ships have finished up an we're ready to depart out to sea!" A sailor shouted as Admiral Mateo of the Iberian Imperium stood watching from the docks as his fleet of small galleons were prepped and ready for departure to carry out a special assignment given to him by his majesty from the palace. "Excellent. I shall be boarding soon and we shall set sail west."

"Sir. Do you believe our task has to do with those flying objects from yesterday?" The sailor asked as Mateo nodded. "That's exactly why we're setting sail. To investigate and discover where those objects came from."

"Oh...Understood sir. Shall we depart now?" The sailor asked as Mateo pulled out a cigar and matchstick box, putting the cigar in his mouth while a taking a matchstick and striking it against the side of the box, lighting it and using the now burning stick to light the tip of his cigar. Within a few second, his cigar was lit as he tossed the matchstick into the ocean below the peer and puffed out a cloud of herbal smoke. "Yes we shall."

People from the harbor town of San Oceano came to wave farewell to the small fleet of wooden galleons as they made full sails away from the harbor, departing to into the great ocean that covered this world in crystal blue waters, in search of something they weren't sure what...

Already, a day had passed since they left the coast of Iberia, having traveled over a hundred miles already, and having not discovered anything yet. This was to be expected as this ocean was vast, and their ships only moved so fast with their use of sails. However they were able to keep in contact with home thanks to an innovative device created by the Métropoleon
Kingdom that was was able to send messages over distance by use of radio waves that used specific patterns to spell words and letters during use. Rumor was that a superior version was in development that allowed for one to send sentences in the use of voice instead of combinations.

Such devices were in use by several other countries as well as a detection device that could be mounted on a tower and used to track objects from the air. Such devices were used in tracking the unknown objects that flew over yesterday, and one was currently in use onboard the flagship IIS Inquisition upon the mast being operated in the crow's nest. Admiral Mateo was stationed aboard the ship in the center of the fleet, currently enjoying his supper with his XO officer Commander Valentina who had served well with him in the past and was dining with him.

Provided to them was an entree of sea based foods involving a giant lobster, crab legs, oysters, and tuna that was boiled and seasoned with some of the finest spices and lemons known in the Iberian Imperium. "So Admiral, what exactly are we searching for?" Valentina asked as Mateo dipped a piece of crab into butter. "I know not exactly. But I do know where we are looking for is."

"But Admiral, what if we find nothing during this voyage? What if those things only came from the west and returned west to deceive us? What if we are going the wrong way?" Mateo paused his eating as he came into though, thinking of his officer's assumptions. "You could be right Valentina. You could be right. We shall sail out for ten days maximum. If we find nothing we shall change course and return for home." He picked up a steel made goblet and drank the wine poured within before a sailor ensign barged in. "Admiral, sorry for disturbing you! But we need you on the helm immediately!"

"Need me on the helm? Have we found something of interest?" He asked as he set his cup down and stood up. "We don't know sir. But our lookouts have spotted three large objects coming over the horizon, towards us." Mateo became more alert as Valentina stood up from her seat as well. "I'll be on the stern deck." He said with his XO following behind him...

"...Give me some news!" He shouted as he and Valentina arrived at the rear of the ship where several officers and the helm were standing. "Admiral, we have spotted what look to be ships out in the horizon dead ahead. We can't identify their nationality or anything to reference them." A Lieutenant said as the Admiral pulled out his brass monocular telescope and extended it out, putting it to his eye to see the incoming ships. "What on Terra?" He asked as he laid his eye on the three incoming vessels.
