FOLDING HER CLOTHES NEATLY, she fit them into her suitcase, technically she didn't need to pack anything as she'd be returning to her own house but in order to keep up appearances she did it nonetheless.
as she rolled her suitcase in the trunk of her car she went back inside the house to hug her father goodbye.
stepping into his room, the overwhelming smell of sickness came into her nose. she had gotten used to the smell already but it still served as a constant reminder of just how sick he was. 'it'll all be okay soon, vampires don't suffer from cancer, as soon as he's turned he'll be perfectly fine.' she thought as she walked over to him.
before she could begin speaking, he turned to face her. "[name] i'm sure you're worried about me, but i'll be fine! don't worry, just enjoy your trip." he shone a bright smile to her, yet all she could see were his tired eyes.
"i'll try." she smiled, though the words she really wanted to say but left unsaid were 'i'll try to find a vampire for you.'
after bidding all her goodbyes she drove off to her apartment, where she would hole herself in for a good while trying to find a few trustworthy leads to follow.
