Chapter Twenty Six (END)

As the four of us climbed the stairs, I couldn't help but feel worried. What exactly were we going to face when we reached the top? The creeping feeling made my breath shake slightly.

Who could've been capable of all this?

I guess we're about to find out.

The stairs seemed to go on and on forever, maybe France had come back and made an endless staircase for us haha.

Seeing my anxious expression and my shaky hands, Poland timidly grabbed my hand to reassure me that everything was going to be okay. Everything was going to work out. Probably.

When we finally reached the last flight, we were met with a long hallway leading to a meeting room. Pushing open the doors, we saw a figure looking out the window with their hands behind their back.

I almost thought it would be a scientist again, they wore a long white suit, pure and as white as snow.

"Tell us, where is UN, EU, and ASEAN? Where have you imprisoned him? Stop this all already." I said with a commanding voice, I'm not taking any more shit from this guy. I'm so tired.

Let me go home.

As the man slowly turned his head, a daunting realization washed over me. Like a torrent of emotion just burst through my body. The others also had shocked expressions plastered across their faces.

The man had light blue skin and a white leaf crown around his head. A face that was uncannily similar to UN. It didn't seem like he wanted to help. Was he being controlled as well?

"UN? How did they manage to get you too? Aren't you stronger than all of us?" Russia teleported next to him and sent a punch right square in the middle of UN's face.

Unfortunately UN was fast, he blocked the punch and retreated a step. "Russia, my boy, you are correct, I am stronger than all of you. That is exactly the reason I am not being controlled."

With a snap of his fingers, Russia dropped to the ground, squirming in pain as something horrid ate him inside out.

"Ah, (Y/N), I cant believe you've survived till now. It seems I really do have to get rid of you myself."

I...

I wasn't even shocked anymore, that emotion passed as swift as it came. I was honestly just tired. I want to go home.

"Are you going to give the usual spiel? The one that all the villain's give during the 'big reveal'" I used my hands to mimic an air quote, walking up to UN as I spoke.

North started getting fidgety at what I was doing, he clearly wanted to call me back, but he was worried what UN would do.

Russia was still on the ground trying to claw his way back up, but the pain was unbearable.

With a snap of the finger, everyone appeared around us. By everyone, I mean everyone.

America, China, Germany, France and much more.

They have us surrounded.

"This is what I used." UN held up a seemingly ordinary glass of water. Crystal clear and swirling in its cup.

He smiled, "clueless, a hot day really let down everyone's guards. It's too bad Russia didn't drink the entire cup. It was a bit troublesome having to control him."

That's when I saw her again, Amber. I don't know how, but she was there.

She snatched the glass out of his hands and tossed it to me before UN grabbed her. "How annoying, I thought I trapped you once and for all already."

With a tighten of his fist, she burst into a cloud of red smoke, her time was up.

She had done so much through so many years, the old countries, the scientists and now with UN. It was time for her to finally rest. Rest eternally.

But that didn't make me any less furious, she had given me this glass, so I drank it.

The cold liquid slid down my throat, and followed was a burning sensation coursing through my veins.

I didn't know whether I could be controlled by UN now or not but, I'm tired of being weak, I'll free us all from this nightmare.

Time to cut the strings attached to all of us.

In a burst of blue light, I slashed my arm towards UN, the surroundings behind him sliced into two. Like a tear in the universe.

As the hostile countries hurried to stop me, I slashed at them as well.

The entire world shattered into a void of white light. The only one in front of me was UN, I never noticed but my outfit was different, crystal like wings behind my back as well as orbs on halos surrounded me.

These newfound powers of mine, they've made me aware. Acutely aware of my surroundings.

"It's over... for you... and for all of us. A book always has a last page."

UN never stopped smiling, he sat down on the last remaining thing from his office, a chair. The rest was sliced apart my me. "You did this all for their entertainment."

"What are you talking about? I did this because all the countries only focused on you and ignored their duties. They've been slacking off."

I shook my head, he was bluffing, but he wasn't going to admit it. "The game, it was all for amusement. But the bigger picture that I only realize now... is that the entertainment was in the form of a book rather than a game."

"Dear (Y/N), when this book ends, don't forget about us. Although we may not be real, our emotions and feelings are. Everyone."

Behind UN, everyone I knew faded in, they all smiled without a word. So many familiar faces, will I never be able to see them again? "Can I ever see you guys again?"

UN opened his mouth once again, his very last words, "you can always re read our story."

Everything faded to white.

Although the pages have run out, the memories stay forever.

Go home, and next time, don't follow a stranger through an alleyway.

Sorry if it is a bit rushed, I figured I shouldn't leave you guys without an ending.

But this is it for the game over AU. No longer will I continue this AU, will I make something else in the future? I don't know.

I understand the pain of an unfinished story so here is the ending.
