TCOPS 14: Kidnapping the Childe

Where are those men?! I can't find them in any taverns in this island!

I've been walking around town and couldn't find a single pirate. Not even a beard!

"Oi! Girl!" Tawag ko sa atensyon ng isang babae nang libutin ko itong pang-limang tavern na nahanap ko.

"Po?"

"May mga malaking grupo ng mga kalalakihan bang pumunta rito?"

Nag-isip pa siya tapos tinuro ang backdoor nila. "Doon po ata sila dumaan. Hindi na namin alam kung saan po sila nagtungo."

"Okay. Thank you."

Damn those bastards!

Pinuntahan ko ang backdoor pero wala naman ang mga kasamahan ko. "Where 'r 'ya mates?! I'm gonna toss you out on the sea once I caught you!" Tinakbo ko ang nga direksyon na pwedeng takbuhan pero hindi ko pa rin sila nakikita. "Tangina! Dead end!" Binalikan ko ulit yung backdoor ng tavern at sa kabilang direksyon naman ako tumakbo. "YOU IDIOTS!!!"

Everyone of them are sprawled on the dark alley floor. Drunk and nasty. Not even one is sober. I bring out my gun and shoot to the sky. Halos lahat ay nagulat at daling tumayo sa mga paa nila. Ang iba tumba pa rin.

"Pi-Piratia?!"

I glare at each one of them and pointed my gun at every sobered pirate. "Get on your feet and go back to the ship! If I knew one of you is gone and left behind, I will leave you in this blasted land!" I spit on the floor and walk close to one of them. "Clear?!"

"YES!" Sabay-sabay nang tumayo ang iba tapos daling pinagtulungan na buhatin ang mga natumba sa sobrang kalasingan.

"Piratia, nasaan si Cassiara?" Nilingon ko naman ang nagtanong sa akin at si Ymah pala iyon.

"Ship. Alone."

"Huh?! Ba't di mo sinama?"

"Bakit ko pasasamahin? She's a child! I don't want her walking in a tavern and let her meet her uncles who are drunk and ogling at wenches inside!" Tinaasan ko pa ito ng kilay. "Puntahan niyo na siya sa barko. Pinatago ko siya roon sa kwarto ko."

"Ano bang nangyayari at nagkakaganiyan ka?"

"I'll tell you when I return. Balik na kayo ni Oka sa barko. Bantayan ninyo na si Cassiara. Also, clean up and ready the ship. We'll be sailing immediately once I return. No pirate will stay asleep as we sail tonight." Bago pa siya maglitanya ay kumaripas ulit ako ng takbo patungo sa merkado.

"Now, where is the Childe?" I ask myself while I stealthy walk around the marketplace.

If I don't find him then suit himself. I'm not going to waste my time on a man who can't keep his words and get himself killed by other people.

Mahigit sampung minuto kong nilibot ang merkado at wala pa rin ang Childe.

"Where the hell is he?"

"GET THE CHILDE!"

Mula sa di kalayuan ay may mga naghahabulan na mga opisyal sa merkado at nakita ko ang isang pamilyar na roba. I waited for the horse of that man to ran closer to me.

"MISS, UMALIS KA DIYAN!!!"

I smirk and curse at the rider. Nang papalapit na ang kabayo ay pumito ako sa nakasakay doon. I don't expect him to reach out a hand to me because I plan to grab on the steads saddle. But he extend his arm to hoist me up his back. I grab on to him and run a couple of seconds before jumping to get myself on the horse. Napakunot ako ng noo sa pwesto namin. Nasa likod niya ako. Mahigpit akong kumapit sa balikat niya tapos tumayo.
