8. Promise

           Your arms are around my waist, your face stuffed in my chest. You breathe softly, eyes closed, like an angel. I stroke your hair.
            Mm.. What time is it..?
            I check the time. 9:23 am. The sun's out, I can tell from the light shining through the curtains. I move. "Nnh.. Y/N-chan... Wake up."
            You don't move an inch, still sleeping.
            "Y/N-chan?"
            "Mmrr... it's too early to wake up.."
            I chuckle. "But it's time to wake up."
            You look at me. "Who said it was?"
            "Me. I did."
            "Fine.."
            You get up, and rub your eyes. I get up too, and hug you from behind. "Good morning~"
             "Mm, morning."
             We share a passionate kiss, and you let go. "I'll make breakfast."
             I nod. "Do you need help?"
             "In burning the kitchen? No thanks."
             I laugh. "Okie-dokie."
             You laugh too.

             After we finish eating, we get ready to walk to our tree. Whenever it's sunny, we go there. When it's rainy... It's Genshin and cuddles.
             You sit down, and bring out a piece paper. "What song should we sing this time?"
             "Mm... Yume Hanabi?"
            "Sure."

           Once the song ends, you place your head on my shoulder. "Hey, Mafu?"
            "Nn?"
            "Can you promise me something?"
            "Of course."
            "Promise that no matter what, you'll always be by my side. That whatever happens, you'll always be with me. That you'll love me forever."
             I kiss you, and stroke your hair.
             "I promise."
