Cityscape, City Escape
the skyline of new york city
is a jungle grown out of concrete and steel
the sky lines the big apple city
of stenciled spears piercing in
to the grandiose ocean overhead
clouds swimming in a rippling cerulean skyguardians to the testament of time
stone and steel stand structured
armoring the homes people build within
out of sweat-labored earnings, earnest laughs
this city homes people
who leave behind their homes
sanguine bluebirds cut through winter skies
glum snowflake monotony tears
into azurite chirps, spring breaks at the beakit is but human nature
to explore the binding matrimony
of humanity and nature
brick brown buildings, reflective skyscrapers
lush garden adorned in garnet roses
cabs and crossings
empire yellow bees buzz on a rush of pollen
crowds surf the streets on a rush of caffeinethe cityscape roars under nocturnal veil
night streets lit with electrified filaments
digital screens and broadway screams
luminosity pours into the raven sky
through windows and roofs drips
honey glazed light, fluorescent neon shimmers
in ruby haze and emerald shinea permanent resident, noise shapeshifts
music, footsteps, chatter
cutlery clings and dings in dining streets
soft snores and sighs sound
in dim-lit homes spelled with sleep
the hudson sings in hushed streaming muse
frothing gurgles flow in fluid motion
