Finally

(Loki's POV)
It was going okay I thought...
We were actually winning...
But then I quickly started to realize Bucky, Steve, Thor, Elsa, and I were completely surrounded now,
"Shit... this is not good... not good at all..." Bucky grumbled, and Steve was so shocked by the sheer number of these aliens that he didn't notice Bucky's cursing and so didn't scold him for once.
"It's okay guys we got this!" Thor said, slamming an alien in the face with mjolnir, Steve winced.
But the others followed suit, trying to take out as many as they could before the other avengers finally got here.
But I was so... slow.
It was like my brain was making everything I saw go in slow motion...
I was exhausted, not sure how much longer we could keep this up...
Damn.
Then I heard my angel cry out in pain, and it was like time had actually sped up now.
I turned and she had been snagged by one of Thanos's lackeys, who was at least three times her size, and he laughed as she squirmed in his grasp,
He hadn't seen me yet, I gasped in shock, maybe if I snuck up on them...
But he squeezed her tightly, and she cried out in pain,
I could hear the bones of her ribs crack all the way over here.
"N-no!" I cried out,
I had already lost my good daggers...
I didn't think...
Norns I was a fool!
Damn it!
I looked around for maybe something I could throw,
Nothing,
I had to find something!
I had to get over there before this monster killed her!
If she were to die...
I'd probably lose myself and never be brought back again...
It would never be the same,
Then I saw it, Thor had dropped the hammer a couple feet away from me, because an alien had tackled him when he wasn't paying attention...
Obviously he was still able to fight without it...
Maybe...?
No... no no no it never worked before why would it...
But it's the only chance I'd have...
I closed my eyes, praying to whatever god there was that for just once in my life I could just pick that damn thing up,
And to my surprise...
It actually lifted,
"Thank Norns..." I breathed, and then I took a deep breath and rushed to her, slamming the horrible creature in the head with it, crushing it, and immediately dropped it, dropping to the ground beside where the monster had dropped her.
"No no no no no stay with me Elsa please!" I pleaded, I could hear gasps of awe behind me as the others one by one realized what just happened.
I didn't care.
I had to save her.
"Please please my little snow blossom... don't leave me please!" I cried, cradling her in my arms, hoping my seidr would work quick enough to where she wouldn't die before she could start healing from it.
And then she sighed, and I smiled,
Thank Norns it was working.
Her eyes opened slightly, as she looked up at me through her long eyelashes.
"L-Loki... you got over here pretty fast..."
"I almost didn't make it my love I'm so sorry..."
Then she blinked in confusion trying to right herself
"How did you even-"
Then she sat in stunned silence when she saw Thor's hammer beside me.
"You... you did it..."
I laughed, tears flooding my face as I hugged her, not too tight she was still healing so it would be sore,
"Yes... I got lucky I suppose..."
She raised her hand to my face, wiping the tears from my eyes,
"No Loki... you aren't so bad..."
And I smiled and kissed her forehead,
Then I heard Tony yell in shock,
"What the hell happened here?!?"
I looked up and the rest of the team had finally showed up.
And apparently that's how the others didn't get killed when I abandoned them to save the only thing keeping me sane, they had been on the other side of the sea of aliens fighting them on their way here.
Then Tony saw me, saw Elsa in my lap, and saw everyone staring in awe at mjolnir beside me,
"Wait... seriously?" Tony said in shock.
"I know, honestly I'm shocked that it even worked..." I said,
"Loki I-" she started to sit up again, and I shushed her,
"No no my love you need to rest...it only works so much... you need rest to heal..."
She frowned,
"I'll bring you to your room... I won't leave..."
"Promise?" She mumbled sleepily, I chuckled, scooping her up and kissing her forehead,
"Yes my love... I promise... sleep my only love..."
