XANDER

"I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. YOU HAD ONE FUCKING JOB TO DO, ONE FUCKING JOB AND YOU FAIL AT THAT AS WELL" I realised I was loosing control but everything that u have built till now was all about to cxome crashing down all because of these three fuckers.

Pointing my gun at one of them, I shot him in his knee. The guy fell down on the floor screaming in pain but I couldn't give two fucks about it. He almost ruined my entire fucking plan. Pointing my gun at the other two, I said

"Tell me what happened before the next bullet that comes out of this gun is aimed at your fucking brain"

"Boss, the shipment was received. We did receive it, boss, I swear. But by the time we reached there all our men were dead. Some of the men went inside the cargo to look but...

... it was an ambush, boss. We were in the car. It was Pedrova. Someone told him about the shipment"

This only meant one thing. We had a rat. Someone was betraying me. FUCK.

"Leave. GET THE FUCK OUT. NOW" I ordered and soon the three men went scrambling out of the room. Turning around I saw my men looking at me, shock clearly evident on their faces. I trusted my men. The closed circle.

After Damien, Ivan, Dimitri and Egor were the first ones I recruited. None of them could betray me. They all had lost their families to the existing mafia's. They all wanted revenge. If I did care for the sentiments and the labels, I could almost call them family. But after what my own family did to me, I lost faith in the word.

"Boss, what are we going to do?" Ivan asked "That shipment was the final, the last piece. We were going to fucking..."

He didn't even finish the sentence. He simply grabbed the lamp next to him and threw it against the wall. Ivan had a problem controlling his anger. After me, he is probably the worst when it comes to anger. Ivan had an anchor though. He had a woman. Someone who, let me quote, 'painted his demons with a smile on her face'. He was 18 when he found her, ran right into her, splashing her paints all over him.

While she screamed profanities at him, he was busy staring at her. I still remember his words,

'It was the first time I didn't want to kill someone for breathing'

That girl accepted him the way he was. All of him and everything was going fine until one night some men bashed his head and kidnapped his woman. We don't know where they took her. All he remembers is the Pedrova symbol on one man's hand. That's all. That's all he needed. Eight years and he has been working with us to find her. We even told him that she could be dead but all he said was,

'She could also be living. I know I won't find the same woman I lost, but she is the only that held me like I would break. She is still the only one who touched me even after everything she saw. I won't give up on us. I won't give up on my Aylin. She is my anchor. My sanity'

"WE WERE THIS CLOSE. THIS FUCKING CLOSE" He screamed again. He was hurting but now was not the time.

"Ivan. Calm down. Go out. Clear your head. Come back when you can finally speak without destroying the damn house" I ordered

"No"

"Excuse me" I felt my monsters irk with the disrespect. He might be in pain but I wasn't going to stand and be disrespected

"No boss. I want to be here. Pedrova has taken too much from me. No more. Let's end this boss. Once and for all. You need to let me, boss. Please" All the anger was gone. Sheer desperation. His only weakness and Pedrova hurt exactly there.
