This story is about Danielle "Dani" Ruth. Yes as in The Babe Ruth.
Her father taught her everything she knew and wanted her to be the one who was going to carry on his legacy.
George couldn't wait to see Dani grow up and become the woman he imagined her to be.
Sadly, that wasn't how it turned out.
Dani's dad died when she was 9.
That left Dani and her mother alone for a while, but not forever.
Dani's mother found a man to marry and the two moved in with him.
Dani was happy her mother remarried, but always missed her father.
Moving into the valley was rough for Dani.
Dani wasn't allowed to play baseball with the boys and was never one to play with Barbies or make up like other girls her age. She loved to get dirty playing baseball and scoring home runs.
So it was hard for her to make friends, but on one lucky day, she was baby sat by Wendy Peffercorn, and that's when a friendship was made.
The two became inseparable and vowed to be best friends forever.
Dani was slowly making her way into the valley, but once she met 8 very dorky boys, she found her place.
