Jimin

The next time Jungkook decided to summon the dead, they agreed he should not go alone since it could be dangerous. He, Jin and Hosoek went along with Jungkook till he asked them to keep some distance and stay there so that if something happens Jungkook could call for help and the soul would be willing to show himself again.

Jungkook left for the cemetery nearby as the rest of them stood on the grassy field keeping eye on the surroundings. The only source of light from the moon, which was really bright.

"How are we going to kill the other giants?" Hosoek asked.

"I wished we could just drag them out of their homeland and kill them too." He said twisting a blade of grass with his fingers.

"That was just Alcyoneus." Jin answered. "He was the only giant who could be killed without the help of a god. For the other giants only a god and half blood together can kill them."

"You think they will help?" Hosoek asked as he aimed his bow at a tree for target and shot, the arrow slamming on the bark of the tree right at its centre. The tree cracked a little.

"Gaea is trying to overthrow the Olympians. They ought to help us." Jin said as Hosoek went to retrieve his arrow. Jin started to say something else. Then he tensed.

"What?" He asked.

"The wind's stopped." He looked around and noticed Jin was right. The air had become perfectly still.

"So?" he asked.

Jin swallowed. "So why is the grass still moving?" Out of the corner of his eye, he saw dark shapes ripple through the field.

"Jimin!" Jin tried to grab his arms, but it was too late.

Something knocked Jin backward. Then a force like a grassy hurricane wrapped around him and dragged him into the fields. He had seen weird things starting this quest. But getting kidnapped by a field of grass? That was new.

He felt as if he was trapped in a funnel cloud of plants. He knows of singers jumping into crowds of fans and getting passed overhead by thousands of hands. He imagined this was similar—only he was moving a thousand times faster, and the grass blades weren't adoring fans.

He couldn't sit up. He couldn't touch the ground. Riptide must be still in his pocket, but he couldn't reach it. The plants kept him off balance, tossing him around, slicing his face and arms. He could barely make out the stars through the tumble of green, yellow, and black.

Jin and Hosoek's shouting faded into the distance. It was hard to think clearly, but he knew one thing: he was moving fast. Wherever he was being taken, he'd soon be too far away for his friends to find him.

He closed his eyes and tried to ignore the tumbling and tossing. He clutched his hands to his body hard and slowly made his hands to his pocket. The moment his hand came in contact with the pen, he pulled it out. The sword growing in his hand and he slammed it onto the ground. The swirl of plants released him and she was thrown upward like a catapult projectile, his sword lost from his grip.

Momentarily weightless, he opened his eyes. He twisted his body in midair. The ground was about twenty feet below him.

Then he was falling. His combat training kicked in. Taehyung had made him practice dropping from heights before. He tucked into a roll, turned the impact into a somersault, and came up standing.

A few yards to his left, an outcropping of rock the size of a garage jutted from the sea of grass. The grass rippled around it. Before they could regroup, he ran to the rock and clambered to the top.
