Manik came back and they had their literature review. After which it wasthe economics period where The teacher announces that there will be a group project

The day went in a blink and now it was the time to leave. After exchanging the no.s with each other Ron, Dhruv, Jason and Stephie left and Alya and Nandini were still in a campus

Alya I was thinking we should start with the project discussion this week itself

They continued talking to each other and after some time Nandini went towards the outer area where her car was parked since her drived was not free today

Fuck I left the book, damn I have to start preparing for the project too
Nandini hurriedly cursed and ran back to the class as she realised she had forgot her book

She went to her desk and checked but the book was not there, she was now tensed it was library's book which was supposed to be returned within two days.

Damn where the hell it is

She started checking other desks. After not finding it anywhere she decided to go to the senior teachers library where she accompanied Mrs Margaret. The library was kinda big

She went to the main table first and tried searching for it however she did not find it. Checking her watch she again went to check between assignments but didn't find the book there as well 

In between all this Nandini didn't realise that the working hours were over  Unknown to this she continued searching for the book

That's when the lights went off and this scared Nandini

She was talking to him when the lights went off. The peon had turned it off since they were closing the

Nandini suddenly started shivering and since she was near Manik he could feel her crying and held her shoulder

She almost cried Manik was confused who was it but he hugged her and made her sit on the chair

In his embrace she relaxed and calmed down
He rubbed her back and continued cajoling her for a few minutes and she became better

*After a while*

As soon as she realised thier position she composed herself

She mumbled

It's ok but are you okay Nandini ?
He asked softly and she could see the concern on his face

She stood up and Manik gave him his handkerchief seeing which she frowned so he himself wiped the sweat off her forehead.

The proximity between the two was heating the environment up

Manik's phone fell from the table and they broke thier eye contact

He picked up his phone and Nandini too moved towards the door while Manik too went out

It was now 8:30, Nandini sat in the car and threw her head back. Manik whose car was parked along with hers

Nandini you're not in the condition to drive. Hop in I'll drop you
Manik said

Professor I can't leave my car here it's ok sir I'll manage

Nandini you're clearly not in that state gimme your keys I'll drop you
She nodded and gave him the keys and he drove while Nandini directed him. The entire way to her house she was lost, ber mind had a lot of thoughts and one thing which she was not able to forget was thier hug
