Yeonjun's POV:

"Yeonjun-hyung, where's Beomgyu?" Changbin asked.

"You aren't leaving without saying bye to him are you?" Wooyoung added.

"I- I don't know. I think I forgot to tell him I was leaving today." Yeonjun lied.

He purposely left his boyfriend out. He couldn't bear with him today, if he saw him, it might be too hard to leave Korea.

He was leaving for California today. His parents wanted him to go to modelling as he'd been offered many jobs as a model because of his stunning visuals.

School had just ended and a few of his friends had gathered to say goodbye and wish him good luck.

"Oh, that's okay then. Kai already went to get him. He knew you'd forget." Changbin said with a smile.

"What?!" Yeonjun yelped.

"Yeonjunie-hyung! You never said you were leaving today!" a tiny person with a loud voice yelled from the other side of the room with a brown-haired giant beside him.

Beomgyu and Kai.

The two walked up to the rest.

Yeonjun swallowed. "Um, I forgot, sorry."

"That's okay. You'll still call and keep in touch right? Just because you're far, doesn't mean we have to be separated?" he asked.

Yeonjun gulped and turned to his close friend next to him, Yeji, who squeezed his hand in comfort. He was dreading this part, and he felt guilty for having to drag Yeji into this. He got up from the table they were sitting at, and gestured for Beomgyu to follow. He pulled Yeji with him. They made their way to another table.

"I'm sorry, I can't." Yeonjun said.

"What?" he asked, confusion written all across his face.

"I can't keep in touch with you. I'm breaking up."

"What? Why? What'd I do?"

"It's not you, it's me."

"We were fine! We didn't have any arguments. Whatever I did, I'm sorry, I'll fix it, I promise!"

Yeonjun swallows and meets Beomgyu's eyes, trying not to cry. "You did nothing wrong, Beomgyu, I did."

"It doesn't matter, whatever it was, I forgive you. Yeonjun please, don't do this."

Yeonjun took a deep breath before saying; "Beomgyu, I cheated."

As if on cue, Yeji immediately stood up. "I'm sorry Gyu. Maybe you can be with Kai." she said with a soft smile.

Beomgyu let out a small gasp. The 'truth' was out. Soon Yeonjun would be in California, and the pain would stay in Seoul.

Beomgyu looked at the two, unable to move. "Yeji-noona? You were with him?" he managed to say. He took their silence as a yes. Beomgyu still hadn't moved, he'd just stood there without blinking, processing it.

"Beomgyu? Are you okay?" Yeonjun asked, concerned and guilty.

"Go away! I don't wanna see you!" the younger cried. He pushed Yeonjun's hands off and turned to join Kai.

Yeonjun watched him leave, his chest aching. Yeonjun saw the tears in Beomgyu's eyes before he left, and it killed him to know he was the reason.

He mentally prepared himself before walking back to their original table.

"Well, I guess that's goodbye then," Yeonjun said, giving them a small smile.

The others said their farewells, and thankfully nobody asked about Beomgyu. He knew they wouldn't, they simply thought he was devastated that Yeonjun was leaving.

Yeonjun beckoned Yeji, and the two of them left the school.  As soon as they had left their friends' sight, Yeji paused.

"Ok, give me my money now." she demanded.

He reached into his pocket and pulled out $20, which he passed to her.

"Thanks for helping me." he said.

"You know I still don't approve. Wouldn't it have been better to be in a long-term relationship with him?" she asked.

"No, I can't." he replied.

"Why? He obviously still likes you. I know you do too. Why are you doing this? You guys are so good together, you make him happy and he makes you happy. Just because you're leaving, doesn't mean you can't still be toge-"

"I SAID NO!" he snapped. She blinked, shocked and taken aback. He sighed. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to lash out on you. It's just, if I do long distance, I'm not sure he'll like it. Now he can be with others too. Please don't question me. I'm going to go now. Thank you Yeji."

Yeonjun stepped into the Taxi. He was moving to California, and he was leaving everything he loved in Seoul.

He'd broken Beomgyu.

He knew that it had to be done, but he couldn't help but wish it didn't have to be like this.
