THE NEXT DAY
"You look great (Y/N)! I'm sure you'll do amazing, I'll be rooting for you!" Lily said, excited to see (Y/N) go out of his comfort zone and dance in front of others
"Thank you Lily! I don't know though.. I'm sure there will be many others who can dance a whole lot better, but ill do my best to not disappoint you or Momo." (Y/N) said, underestimating himself. Lily chuckled at his modesty, knowing full well what he was capable of.
"Regardless, we'll be going out to dinner afterwards to celebrate this huge step forward. You've grown to be such an amazing boy (Y/N), and I'm incredibly proud of you!"
(Y/N) flinched at those words, 'I'm incredibly proud of you'. The words he wanted to hear from his parents, just came out of Lily's mouth. He was on the verge of tears, but he held it in and mumbled out three words.
"Thank you... Mom.."
Lily was taken aback, this was the first time (Y/N) had ever called her his mom and she couldn't help but feel a little emotional afterwards. She pulled him in for a hug, she was so happy that he grew to see her as a mother.
"Of course, I'll always have your back (Y/N)! Now you go out there and show those judges what you've got!"
(Y/N) was ready, he built up the confidence to come out on top and there was no way he wanted to disappoint. He texted Momo before he went out on stage.

Momo: Good luck Mimi!! Me and the girls will be watching, go get em~ ❤️❤️
That was all he needed, as he was called out to the stage. It was time to show what all his practice was for.
He would be dancing to Filthy by Justin Timberlake, and god would he be doing it well.
Momo POV
"There he is!!" I said, excited to see how (Y/N) would do. She had no doubt in her mind that he would blow everyone away.
"Yah Unnie, my ears.." Tzuyu groaned
"Wow, your friends kinda hot Momo~" Sana replied, winking at Momo.
"Sana! Stop flirting with literally everyone!" Jeongyeon said, annoyed by the girls words
I chuckled, I'm already used to Sanas antics, but she honestly wasn't wrong. It's been a while since I've last seen (Y/N) and how he looked like. He looked fit and healthy, but also noticed (Y/N) was smiling.
"Shhhh it's starting!" the Cub said, full attention on the screen.
Mina, Dahyun, Jihyo and Nayeon were following the Cubs lead, and were ready to see (Y/N)'s performance.

Each girl watched in awe as (Y/N) flawlessly performed to the song. Not one of them spoke a word until it was over. Once (Y/N) finished his performance and took a bow, all the girls clapped as if they were there as an audience. Momo was so happy to see her best friend give such a perfect performance, she almost shed a tear.
"Daebak.." Mina and Dahyun said in unison, taken aback by such a performance
"Wow Momo, he really is your childhood friend! Did you see all those moves! He's amazing!!" Chaeyoung said clapping her hands
