~Chapter 33~

*The Recap*

"I still don't understand," Luke said during a silent moment. The five boys were eating lunch together the day after the coronation. Things had started to calm down and the advisors were ordered to leave Ashton alone so he could have a few moments of peace. It had been a crazy 12 hours.

"What?" Harry asked through a mouth full of food. Ashton shook his head. Some things would never change.

"How did you hide for nearly a week? Didn't someone see you?"

"Well, I'm sure they did. But since the witch was controlling everyone in the castle to make them carry out the coronation, they couldn't say anything or go find you because it wasn't what she decreed." Louis informed.

Luke sighed. It was a good thing they were there, they literally saved the day, but damn it, he should have known that he had to see them leave with his eyes or else he wouldn't know what had happened.

"We hid out by the kitchens so we could snag food. We watched you and Michael sometimes, wondering if we should make our presence known," Harry shrugged. "This worked out well in the end,"

Luke leveled a glare at him, displeased with the fact that no one listened to him. Harry smiled an innocent, dimpled smile that made Luke roll his eyes fondly.

"I guess since it did work out, we won't have anything else to say about it,"

Especially since I'll be leaving soon, Luke thought to himself.

The chatter moved on from the coronation to some sort of new game Michael thought of while Ashton was missing, to what was next.

"I think I'm going to fly home," Louis said. "Shortly. Now that you're safe, Ash, I should get back to my siblings."

Ashton nodded.

"I give you my thanks for saving me, as well as my blessing to go and do whatever you think is right for you,"

"I guess we can all go home," Michael said. "We aren't really needed anymore. Crisis is averted, the king has been saved, he has his crown, and all is well in the kingdom,"

Ashton smiled.

"Yes, and my mum and sister are on their way back now, they should be arriving by tonight."

"I would like to say goodbye to the queen before I leave," Michael said.

"I think she'd like that,"

"Is there room for four on your jet, Ash?" Luke asked.

He nodded, knowing that his plane could fit many more than that. Then he tilted his head in confusion.

"Four? Do you think Calum will go back to America?"

Luke took a long swig of his iced tea before setting his cup down.

"No, the last seat is for me. I'm heading back to the agency to potentially get another assignment, if that's what they have in store for me."

Everyone looked at Luke in shock.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" Ashton spluttered out. Louis almost choked on his croissant when he heard Ashton's profanity. No one else could get over their bewilderment to find the humor.

"Ash!"

"No, do not 'Ash' me." Barely looking at his friends, he stood up from his chair. "Excuse us, gentlemen, I must have a word with Lucas." He pulled Luke out of his chair by the neck and into the hallway. He tossed him forward, Luke's body jolting forward as he followed the king to his main office, which was around the corner from the dining room.
