~ CHAPTER THIRTY-SIX ~

I walk down the stairs after I brushed my hair and Lilith followed behind me. I feel a pain in my legs and Lilith was just smirking until we got to the table and I sit down in my usual seat.

"Jesus Amery! You look like you have just got railed."Sofia laughed and I look at her.

"That obvious?"I ask and he mouth dropped and Lilith sat down and and looked at me, "Don't look at me."I groan and she looked away, and the soft side is back!

My fingers trace against hers and she connected them and her cheeks turned a shade of red and I smile.

"Alright so we are going to have hot dogs!"Zane announced and everyone cheered and I chuckle.

"Lilith already had milk so go easy on her and Amery don't yell if she limps or whatever."Sofia says and I glare at her with Lilith and everyone laughs and then she sighed and looked back.

"Alright shut up now or I will actually kill you."Lilith whispered and she hummed with a smirk, "but I didn't get chance to drink the milk but I got the other things"

"Damn Amery you made her upset!"Sofia shouts and I groan.

"We didn't have enough time so shut up you."I laugh and then the food was all handed out and I took one hot dog and looked at Lilith who was eating her food and I smile.

Her leg brushed against mine and then she slowly slid down my sock before running her leg against mine and I gulp and she hummed softly.

"Amery dear."My father says and I look towards him, "Someone wanted to speak with you"

"Who?"I ask and stood up and pulled the sock up before walking with my father to Zane's office and he stood there.

"Here."Zane spoke and gave me the phone and the two left.

"Hello?"I speak to the other side and heard a groan.

"Amery right?"A voice asked.

"Yes who is this?"I question and I heard a chuckle.

"Oh my name is Hannah, you may of heard of me from Lilith since I'm friends with her too, but I was just wondering if we could be friends. You seem really nice and I'd love to get close with you or something"The person says and I sigh.

"The thing is my father passed away a few months ago by...cancer and I just haven't had many friends ever since"She says and I nod slowly.

"Oh well I'm sorry about your father, we can be friends I guess"I mumble and then heard a few noises from the opposite end.

"Thank you so much!"Hannah spoke and I laugh.

"No problem I honestly thought it was another scammer call since I've been getting them a lot lately."I laugh and I heard her laugh.

"Hah I'm nothing like that don't worry. If you want we can talk more, I'll give you my number"She smiled before she started saying her number and I hesitatingly put it into my phone.

She just sounds a little suspicious and things but I guess it's nothing I'll just have to be extra careful. Even though she does seem nice but not everyone is who they say they are.

The two of us talk for five more minutes so I have them been on call with her for ten minutes. We just talk about random things, she's the daughter of a quite rich mafia honestly though I've never had chance to meet them.

"Hey I have to go now to go eat and things I'll text or call you later."I told Hannah and heard her hum on the opposite end.

"Goodbye."She says and I say it back before I hung up the call and turn to face my dad.

"Do you know who Hannah is?"I ask and he thought for a few seconds.

"No I don't think I do."He replied and I hum and leave the room and see Lilith already smiling at me as I sat back down.

"Where did you go?"She asked and I shrug.

"Just to take a call."I answer.

"It took a while for a call, who was it? Must be important." Sofia laughs.

"Some girl called Hannah, she said she knows Lilith."I answer and she dropped her fork which I didn't even knew she needed it to eat hot dogs and looked at Lilith.

"Wait what did she say?"Lilith asked and I take a bite out of the food.

"Something about wanting to be friends with me, she's part of a mafia I haven't heard of and that her father died of cancer a few months ago."I answer and even Zane was watching.

"Fuck sake."Sofia groaned and I looked at her in confusion.

"Do you know her or something?"I ask and she scoffed.

"What's her surname?"She asked.

"Uhm I think it was Beckett or whatever."I answer and Lilith left the table and ran up the stairs and her father ran after her.

"Did I do something wrong? Or say something?"I whisper.

"Don't be friends with her. It's Lilith's ex and fuck they didn't get along well. Her father didn't die of cancer, he's the one who shot her."She whispered and I look at the girl with widen eyes.

"Shit, I have her number and I'm her friend now"I groan and Sofia slammed the knife down.

"Oh shit this is going to be bad."She groans.

"No don't tell me to calm down! You saw Hannah, you saw it all and di....."The conversation was turned to muffle noises as the two shout upstairs and I ate more of the hotdog.

"Alright just act like you didn't know she will talk to you later but be prepared it's either shes fucking the brains out of you, an argument, or you have to sort this out before she dumps you."She whispered and I felt my heart break as I saw Lilith come out the room with tears running down her cheeks and her dad followed looking annoyed.

They just expect me to know that don't they?
