|:| Saihara's POV |:|
I turned away from the situation and headed back towards my apartment. I slumped over in my walk as I pulled up my hood to cover my face. Water began to blur my vision as I wiped it away constantly with my sleeves. I reached for my door handle and turned it. It didn't budge. My hands searched my pockets as they were bare and empty. I laid my head against the door as more liquid drops fell from my eyes.
"Out of all days..."
My hearing was muffled up, but I heard a voice in the distance and immediately stood up straight, wiping my red, puffy face. It was the beautiful blonde 2nd-year girl—Akamatsu-senpai. She stood there with another girl who had some canvas' who was peeking like a little child behind her. Her hair was white as a fresh pile of snow, and a smile was placed upon her face. Her hair was tied back into two pigtails and they fell past her shoulders. After studying the other girl for so long, Akamatsu-senpai spoke up.
"Saihara-Kun are you alright?" Her eyes fell as she saw my sorrowful face.
I wiped my face once again and sniffled, "Mhm... Just tired," I faked yawned, and nodded my head.
She smiled warmly at me, which I needed, "Don't lie to me, I know something is up," she spoke her sweet, caring words to me as she stepped closer to me.
"Huh? Oh no—I'm fine. Also, why are you in this apartment complex? I never knew you lived here," I looked up at her with a trying smile.
She let out a small chuckle, "Don't try and change the subject, Saihara-Kun,"
"Sorry, Akamatsu-senpai..." I looked down at my feet as they tapped back and forth between each other.
"It's alright, but if you ever want to talk I'm always here!" Her smile glowed in on her face as mine grew a little red, "Ah! But your question. I'm here with a friend, her apartment is right here and we were going to do a group project together!"
Just then the girl popped right next to her and bowed at me as I also mimicked her actions, "Hello! I am Yonaga, Angie! Atua told me that you are a very nice person, so I had to introduce myself!"
I looked at Akamatsu-senpai in confusion. She just smiled and shrugged, as I looked back at the hyperactive girl, "Hello.." I bowed as well to her, "I'm Saihara, Shuichi,"
The girl's smile grew bigger as I responded to her introduction, "That's great! It's nice to meet you Saihara-Kun!" She giggled and then turned to unlock her door, which snapped me back into my situation; no keys...
When she unlocked the door, pushing the door open, she walked in but then popped her head out, "Want to come inside?!" Akamatsu-senpai and I were looking at her childish actions, but then looked at each other; Akamatsu-senpai giggled, nodding.
I shook my head, my hands mimicking the shaking, "No thank you. I shouldn't go into your house looking like an old garbage bag,"
"Oh.." She tapped her finger to her chin, "That's what I smelled.."
I stepped back and covered my face up in embarrassment, "I- uh.."
Akamatsu-senpai giggled at my reaction, "Well maybe you should take a quick shower and come over. I'm sure we will let you in! Just don't take too long," She walked towards the open door and smiled her astonishing smile that was as cold and lovely as frost on a windowpane.
"Yeah.. okay!" I tried to speak with a little enthusiasm, but I don't think it worked. In the end, she just smiled more and then closed the door, leaving me back to reality; no way to get into my apartment.
